It would be really helpful if, when adding a new contact, the system allowed you to save their email address and full contact details at the same time—this would streamline the process and improve efficiency.

Additionally, it would be useful if the "Title" field and accompanying text box from a quote could automatically transfer to the invoice. I often include important client information in these sections (e.g. wedding details), and having it carry over would save time and reduce the need to refer back to the original quote.

Please make this a feature! it used to be one on the previous version of Xero and it is such a pain having to switch between contacts and quotes everytime, especially as a business who sends multiple quotes a day.

It is great that all the contact info can be added when entering an Invoice but very frustrating that only the name can be added in a Quote, why are these not set up with the same functionality? Please change

When adding a new contact from the add quote screen you cannot enter any details other than the name, frustrating really when the idea is the quote would be emailed to the customer

Oh dear, I haven't been on here for some time, I gave up on Xero doing anything that was requested of them stemming back to having more than one contact per account, the most requested change that still hasn't been practically addressed. It seems nothing has changed in Xero's attitude. This dates back to 2021 in some cases and nothing has been done. Beautiful Business? Depends on the eye of the beholder I suppose. But still, I can do a Xero transaction on my apple watch, that's got to be a requested change... not!

Just like in new invoicing having the pop up to add contact details especially email and phone number when doing a new quote would make it easier and faster to send instead of having to go back and forth between quote and contact and source document for the information

Client would like to see Contact details on quote as it is finalised to be reassured it is going to right person.
When contact details are split need to send quote to one and invoice to another ie Accounts department etc.
Would be hepful that this could be seen on the quote and invoice to be clear.
Understand you can change on send function but that is two to three steps away... and if not correct needs to be rectified.

Quotes - Add contact information.
It would be really good and time saving if there was the ability to add contact details on the quote screen. At the moment if it is a new contact, once I have done the quote and saved it I then have to open up the contact and select add details.

With a new invoice all this can be done from the invoice screen, much more sensible and time saving. I have to compile a lot of quotes for new customers and it is a real inconvenience having to either set the contact up as new first or wait till the quote is done and saved and click into the contact and select edit/add details. If it can be done for invoicing then surely it can be done for quotes.

Ideally, I'd like to create a new quote seamlessly, including adding all the customer's details—first name, last name, address, email, and phone number—all in one go.

Moreover, it would be fantastic if the email accompanying the quote could automatically address the customer by their first name. This way, we can ensure a personalized touch without the need for manual adjustments to contacts or email templates for every interaction. Currently, adding the customer first name placeholder doesn't not work without editing the customer details manually.

Implementing these improvements would significantly enhance our efficiency and elevate the experience for our customers.

When generating a quote or invoice, we've noticed that the [Customer First Name] placeholder doesn't work if we haven't added the customer as a contact beforehand. This process is time-consuming, especially when creating a new quote. Is there a way to customize the quote/invoice creation process so we can include the customer's details, like their first name, without having to create a separate contact?

Please, this will really increase productivity.

There are three parts to this.
When creating a new contact, instead of having to add an address separately or as another option. It would be great to include the address as part of the contact details like it used to be.

It would also be good to have the ability to select a group/category at this point as part of the option that you can Tab through. Not as another box that you have to open and add.

After creating a quotation it would be great to click on the contact and go through to the contact details.

Contacts - It would be great as a default option to open contacts and see the last added instead of having to enter details.

Agree with this. When you add an existing contact to a quote, allow it to be hovered over to view their contact details, and then the hyperlink to take you to their contact if necessary.
Once a quote has been 'saved' or 'sent', allow the contact details to be either edited (if its an existing contact), or added (if its a new contact).

When you enter a contact on an invoice it allows you to hover over the contact name to see their details(address, phone number, how much is owing etc) without having to search their contact and bring up their details.

Can you do the same on quotes please? At the moment on quotes if you hover over the contact name it doesn't bring up anything.

Please can you request you add in the ability to add new full contact details directly via a new estimate (exactly the same as you can add them directly to a new invoice)

A massive timing saving feature would be the ability to add contact information on the new quotation page. When creating a new quote you can add a new customer but to add their name you have to go into the contact area.

Please add this. it is really silly to be able to add a new item on a new quote but then need to refresh the entire new quote again once added the new item! there is way too much double work here.

Please make this a feature! ridiculous work around having to double enter contact details first before starting a quote. This is basic in quickbooks

Where quotes are unsuccessful being able to export the contact details - name/email address/telephone number would enable potential lost sales leads to be followed up quickly.

Frankly, whoever decided to take away the ability to add a contacts name into a quote should be fired. When you send a quote you need to include the name of the person it's attentioned to. I'm not sure about anyone else but I can't even get the name into my quote now, and have been told that's how the new quoting form works. Ludicrous.

Creating Quotes from a Contact - not working as before.

Until the update was done recently to quotes, you were able to create a quote from the contact and the name would automatically appear in the quote.
Now when creating a quote from a contact, you have to retype the contacts name in again.
It still works ok in invoices etc.
Can you please look into changing this back.
Seems to be a few areas where added steps are now needed in quotes.
