    Ability to confirm to a customer that their quote has been accepted & processed as an order. It is either in the process of being made, or waiting in a queue of work to be done.

    As the business manager I can look at my order book on a daily basis to see which orders are outstanding and in what priority they should be completed.

  2. Label printing. It would be so much easier if having entered the name and address on an invoice we could then print the name and address directly onto a label writer (something easily done using Sage software). We are a publisher, selling books via a website to people who usually only ever make one purchase, so we don't want to create an unnecessarily massive contact list.   3. Currently, the number of files that can be uploaded is limited to 50. It would be useful to be able to upload more than 50 files. For example, to a loan account we might need to attach the original loan documents, associated invoices, monthly statements and letters relating to interest rate increases. For a 5 year loan, more than 50 documents would be required for monthly statements alone.

  4. I would like to be able to send statements using different email templates depending on how old the debts are. Smart lists seem to have the functionality to filter what I want but no option to send statements based on those lists.

    Hey community, thanks for sharing this idea.

    For those who aren't aware, within the Email Settings it is possible to create a number of different templates to reflect the wording you'd like to use, depending on the age of the debt. The Add email templates support article has detailed steps on how to do this 😊

    As mentioned, Smart Lists are a great way to filter your customers and can be used as a tool to identify the customers who should receive their statement with each template.

    However as you have found, it is currently not possible to send statements directly to the customers from the Smart List. We understand this is the main ask of this idea, so we'll continue to monitor the suggestion to get a clearer understanding of users that'd like to see this developed.

  6. Can you make the "Paid From" and "Reference" fields wider in the Make a Payment section of the bills and invoices? I like detail in my Reference field and there are only 14 characters that you can see and in the Paid From field, you can't see both the account number and the text.

  7. Incorporate the ability to manually enter an invoiced amount to a Project - Sometimes we have a number of projects for one client but they just want one total invoice rather it being broken down into projects but we want to allocate the relevant amounts to each project - currently we can only do it by amending the invoice after its been sent and breaking it down into separate jobs - this is time consuming and risks the invoice on our records not matching theirs if there were ever a query on it.

  8. When trying to match multiple bills to pay against Supplier statements, Xero scatters the bills randomly by reference and not in date order. There also needs to be an extra box on entering bills form, so there can be a supplier invoice no. separated from reference no.

    Thanks sharing with us here, Haider. Not something that we have plans for extending the integration for at present, but we'll start tracking the support in this here and let you know if there's any plans for change. 

  11. When invoice details are extracted to Excel or reported in the Receivable Invoice Detail Report, all invoice line items (and comments when they are included) should be extracted in the same sequence as they are shown on the invoice. Currently this is not the case and I would consider it an error in the system rather than an improvement to the system. Similarly, the details shown in the line item description should include any formatting (ie carriage returns, leading spaces etc).

  14. As you can see in the attached pictures, the "New bill - screenshot 1" shows the information to key in when we want to create the bill. As we have many expenses in different foreign currencies, we need to add the currency unit to the bill. We have to open "Optional details" to add, as in the picture "New bill - adding currency".

  15. When generating a new Purchase Order can Xero add a Receiving Inspection report at the same time. The Receiving Inspection report would be an exact copy of the purchase order details that can printed with the Purchase Order. The Receiving Inspection report can then be hung up and when goods are received, they can be checked against this report and ticked off etc . We have a sample attached. IT would be great to have this to check off incoming items

    • Dedicated email address to submit supplier quotes to Xero (like the email used for bills)
    • Once in Xero can create the estimate, add mark up etc and assign to a particular project

    This would be a huge time saving feature for me to be able to quickly add supplier quotes for a variety of different projects on the go at once and a faster creation time for a quote. At the moment this is a laboriously time consuming process.

  17. For my clients that I have on Xero, I would like to use the Xero Network Key send through my invoices as Spend Money transactions instead of Bills.

    Similarly, I would like to receive invoices from Xero through my Xero Network Key as a Spend Money instead of a bill that I import/approve.

    Cannot understand why a bill will show the qty on hand, but not the purchase order. When creating a purchase order it makes sense that one should be able to see qty on hand on each line item so that you know how much to order.

  19. Almost every quote/invoice I make ends up having the last little bit of the quote/invoice on the second page, with a huge amount of wasted space on the first page, which looks unprofessional. Having the option within standard invoices to remove the spacing would be amazing. I know you can get around this by using the 'Advanced invoice' option, but that requires a lot more manual work, so it's inconvenient.
