  1. Could you enhance customer accounts by automatically adding outstanding amounts from previous invoices to the next issued invoice as a separate line item called 'outstanding fees'? This ensures customers can pay the full amount due, not just the current invoice.

  2. We have a lot of transaction that include GST, but only on part of the purchase. (Mobile catering business where we shop a lot in supermarkets.) When adding details, it has been very helpful to have the transaction already split into two lines for GST-able component and GST-free component. When entering the amount of the payment that includes GST, (which has to be calculated as receipts mostly show GST included), it would be great if the GST-free line auto-filled with the balance. Obviously this wouldn't solve every breakdown of expenses, but it would save having to use the calculator where…

    Not something we have immediate plans for but appreciate the detail in your idea here, and we'll start to get an idea of the votes from community in this.

    In the meantime, will be dependent on how you enter transactions, but perhaps Bank Rules could enable you to apply based on proportions?

  3. Trial Balance new report: Be able to run a report by tracking category. At the moment there is only an option to filter but if you have many tracking units you end up running a multiple reports and need to combine them all. Really time consuming.

    My proposal attached - with such report you could do any analysis you want!
    Option to run it by month "compare with" option a dream!

  4. Remove all account codes check box upon financial statement publishing

    We need this check box added when we publish our EOFY financial statements - a similar box already exists to remove all decimal places yet we have to manually go to the trading statement, income statement, balance sheet and equity accounts and manually turn off account codes on each page.

    A simple box to remove all account codes when publishing just like the decimal place box would be fantastic

  6. When the multifactor authentication (MFA) page pops up the field to enter the code needs to autofocus with the cursor on page load so that the user can just start typing their code from their phone or app without needing to click on the code field.

    It's such a small tweak that saves a mouse click when a user is probably already holding their phone in their hand ready for the page to load. I know that I often start typing the code from my phone without looking at the MFA page only to discover that the code field is…

  8. As default, can you please turn off the check box "Show journal on cash basis reports"
    For users that rely on the 'Cash Summary' report, non-cash journals create significant difficulty getting a true read on the cash position of the business, a key requirement for this report. Thanks

  9. Please set the bank reconciliation lines on the right-hand side to pre-populate with the details on the left=hand side, that is as long as there is no 'match'' and it is not a transfer. I'm mystified as to why I have to copy and paste all of the information from the left side to the right side when Xero could do this in a jiffy. Presently the pre-population remembers a long lost description I may have made such as 'birtthday gift' and Xero is remembering this forevermore.     I am suggesting that within the Invoicing section of Xero, where a Search can be initiated, a checkbox is required that will "Include Description" - allowing customers to search for an invoice by the contents of the description field.

    I understand the performance impact on the overall system of putting this feature in the "Global Search" box, hence my suggestion to make it an "Optional" search via checkbox.

    Because the invoice reference field was reduced to 255 characters (https://productideas.xero.com/forums/939198-for-small-businesses/suggestions/49018595-new-invoicing-remove-255-character-limit-for-ref), this would be the only way to be able to find…

  12. Please instate bank feeds for ABN AMRO bank (the Netherlands). I joined Xero for its highly automated systems. Now I still have to download and import bank statements manually.

    It adds insult to injury for the fact I have to sign up to a premium plan to be able to account in a mere two currencies. For small traders like myself with low turn-overs and no need for the majority of features larger companies need, this feels deeply inappropriate and unfair. (another idea about this topic is already live elsewhere)

  13. It would be really helpful if there was the option to add a planned payment date for all invoices listed on a particular aged creditors report. Having customised reports so that only invoices on particular job sites are listed, it then seems very inefficient to have to access 'bills to be paid' and manually, individually search each of the invoices listed on the report to schedule a payment date for them. Could this not be a function, whereby you can schedule them all for payment directly from the aged creditors report?

  16. Project Assigning in Hubdoc. It would be most useful if our accounting team could choose between a Billable Expense and Assign to a Project in Hubdoc. We have many small expenses that have to be assigned to projects, as the client has already paid in most cases. We have to find each one, which is a challenge, open the bill, and assign each one manually. It is so time-consuming. So much processing time. Please consider this, it would be so appreciated.

    Hi Danielle, when you say you'd like to post an application. Could quotes potentially be a fit for this purpose here? Otherwise could you share a bit more detail on what would be needed to record the application in Xero.

  18. For the Aged Receivables it would be helpful to know what customers owe us as well as what we owe them. We take deposits for future invoices and they don't show on the Aged REceivable Summary.

    Hi all, we appreciate this feedback raised through a broader idea and would like to better understand the direct interest in this through this idea.

    While not in our roadmap atm, this is something we understand the needs in and will keep you updated if there is news to share, here.
