    Hi Danielle, when you say you'd like to post an application. Could quotes potentially be a fit for this purpose here? Otherwise could you share a bit more detail on what would be needed to record the application in Xero.

  2. For the Aged Receivables it would be helpful to know what customers owe us as well as what we owe them. We take deposits for future invoices and they don't show on the Aged REceivable Summary.

  3. Would love that within money out/in and repeating the transaction that 'quarterly option' was included.
    example: BAS, Super & PAYG

    It would be great if this was an option for those using the short-term cash flow regularly.

When your quote involves different vendors, it would be nice to have the option to create POs with a click of a button for all the vendors but because you can't specify a vendor for each item then at least let us select the line items. Also very important, any additional information that was added to the description during the quote / invoice process should be carried over to the PO.

  5. Right now, checks must be written by going to the top of the page, choosing "Spend Money," choosing the bank account, and then checking the "Pay By Check" box on the page. I regularly enter transactions right on the back account page through the "Spend Money" and "Receive Money" button. It would be great if the "Spend Money" area on the account page could just include the "Pay By Check" box so we could avoid the extra steps.

  6. When adding a new contcat from within an invoice, it would be useful to be able to add the contact first/last name. Currently you can only add the business name, email, phone number and addresses. That means unless you open up the new contact in a separate page to add in the contact first/last name (which is time consuming), then when the invoice is completed the email cant be addressed to the person's name. Would be much simpler to have first/last name field within the new contact section of the invoice.

  8. When COGS posts via tracked stock on a sales invoice, record the sales invoice number the COGS value relates to in the nominal ledger. There is already a field for this, but Xero does not populate it.

  9. I would like to be able to assign the 210 CIS labour account to a service for CIS labour. At the moment, I have a couple of services for CIS labour and some for non CIS labour.
    For the Non CIS labour, I can creat a service called 'labour' and add the account code to it.
    This can't be done with CIS labour at the moment as Xero won't allow it. This means that for each line item of CIS labour in an invoice I have to manually add the 210 CIS account.

  10. Can we please add the ability to set up a sub-category under category options?

    For instance, we have already tracking categories by store locations (i.e. Loc 1, Loc 2, Loc 3). However, we need to have a sub-category per Deputy's area (i.e. FOH, BOH) under the store locations.

    Category option: Loc 1 (Store Location)
    Sub-category option: FOH, BOH (Area)

    If we could set up a sub-category under tracking options, that would be great. Thank you!

    On cash coding screen, it would be great if there was an option to freeze the heading panels so you dont have to keep scrolling up if you have millions of lines to code. Eg: to uncheck all

    Thanks for sharing, Jenal. It's not something we have planned at present, but we'll get a sense of the overall interest for this here and keep you updated.

    In the meantime, appreciate it's not exactly what you're after here, however to save you scrolling perhaps you could use the Home and End keys on your keyboard to more easily navigate the page. 🙂

  12. It is impossible to us the credit card bankfeed function and allow for the credit card user to account for these expenses in Xero Me.
    Solution: allow for credit card transactions to pull through into Xero Me via automatic sychronisation. This should provide a more streamline approach to recordinng individual company card expenditure, remove time in reconciling missing receipts and remove duplication.

  13. When exporting reports to Excel they are coming in with very narrow row heights. By Default Excel will create a row height 4 points larger than the font. Eg: default font is 11 points and row height is 15 points. If I increase the point size, the row height increases.

    My exported reports have the general data at 9 points but the row height is at 11 points - and I'm constantly having to modify my spreadsheets.

When an expense claim is created via Xerome a 'spend money' transaction is created instead of a bill which means that if there is more than 1 payment against this claim I cannot opt to split the transaction when reconciling the payments. There needs to either be an option to split or the expense should create a bill rather than a 'spend money' to enable easier reconcilliation

  17. As someone who is colour blind, I find the Budget Variance Arrows are similar / same colour which makes viewing budget variance at a glance a challenge.

    It would be great to have an option to have lines highlighted a colour if above/below budget instead. Even better if this colour option was customisable.

    When you say one click bank refresh, is there a specific place you'd be looking for this option, Martin? Currently there are some types of bank feeds that have an option to Refresh bank feed.

    However how often a bank feed updates depends on your bank and each bank does things a little differently.

    You can find the specifics for each bank feed here. It includes when they update, how often and if a manual refresh is available.

    If you think your bank feeds might not be syncing correctly, you can check current or recent bank feed delays and issues on our status page - You can also access this from within Xero by clicking on the View status updates option from your bank feed menu.

  19. Small Business Corporations (SBC's) can, under certain circumstances, depreciate assets in a 3-year schedule as follows:

    • 1st year: 50%
    • 2nd year: 30%
    • 3rd year: 20%

    See the attached document, under 4.2.

    Currently, this is not possible (I checked with Support).

    I expect this to work within Xero, as it is a regular tax rule in South Africa.

    Adding this schedule for South Africa would be extremely useful and important, as we now have to do the depreciation outside of Xero.

  20. It would be really useful if there was an options to tag or colour code invoices in the list view, so that at a glance we could see invoices grouped together for any given reason.

    For example most of my invoices are paid via direct debit, so I'd love a way to tag/colour code the invoices that have not yet signed up for the debit system, so that I can see at a glance how many I am still missing and who I need to follow up on.
