  1. Invoicing - increase the number of invoices that can be sent on the Ignite Plan or have another plan between the ignite and grow plans that allows more invoices to be sent and bills to be entered without the current extras in the grow plan. The jump up in cost between these plans is too much.

    To be transparent we'll no longer accept ideas about Xero pricing plans or plan structures and cannot make commitments to ideas of this nature. While we will move this idea to Feedback, please be assured comments have all been shared with our team internally.

  2. With the new pricing tiers coming in September 2024, Projects is only included in the most expensive tier. I currently pay for it as an add-on on a per user basis. With just two of us, this is cost effective. From September, if I want Projects I will have to pay for the top tier, a 30% increase to retain the features I use! Please make Projects available in lower pricing tiers.

    Thank you for your feedback here. A lot of consideration went into the development of Xero's new plans and bundled features in order to align with the needs of different small businesses of all sizes and complexities.

    We appreciate differing needs of businesses and while Projects isn't in all our new plans, there are also other options in the Xero App Store that may be of interest.

    In transparency, we want to share that we'll no longer be accepting ideas about Xero pricing plans and plan structures and cannot make commitments to ideas of this nature.

  3. I see that in Aus the starter plans in Xero are going up by 7-12% again this year (July 2025).

    Part of the sales pitch appears to be access to analytics. Subscribers on this level are mum and dad businesses, maybe an employee or two (as restricted by Xero).

    They need a simple system they can use, they don't need or want sophisticated analytics systems. There's nothing in their accounts to analyse. They barely have time or inclination to do a bank rec.

  5. You should allow current subscription holders the ability to create reports on all of their data. At the moment if you stop employee staff and therefore downgrade your subscription, XERO removes all payroll reports. So when you need to print a report you cannot without changing your subscription to include payroll again, even they you don't need to pay employees. It costs you a 30 day subscription to print one report. This is a big fault and something I can do in MYOB. Please fix this madness.

    I’m reaching out from a regional local government in Western Australia. We want to use Xero and appreciate its simplicity and usability. However, we’ve found that Xero’s current design is limiting for local government requirements — particularly in terms of transaction volume, internal controls, audit reporting, governance, and integrated project accounting.

    Hi Alex and Anura, we understand the interest for enabling Xero capabilities to suit more structures and uses.     That said, along with Anis's previous suggestion you may have seen there are some existing ideas on the platform related to aspects that you've noted would appeal for local govt to use Xero.

  7. I would like a subscription option for a "super only" payroll for 20+ contractors. I do not need all the payroll functions as these are contractors who I pay from an invoice, but I do need to pay their super. There is absolutely no need for me to pay for the top tier payroll subscription, when we only have 2 people actually on payroll, but 20+ people who we need to pay super to.

    We understand different businesses have varying needs and make-ups that they'd like to be able to meet through Xero's products and services. Our pricing plans and offerings have been designed to meet the needs of majority of businesses.

    Recently, as you may have seen we've made a few changes to our new plans and made Auto super available to all of our Business plans.

    We want to be upfront that we don't accept ideas about Xero pricing plans or plan structures and cannot make commitments to ideas of this nature. For this reason we'll move the idea to Feedback but I can assure you comments here have been shared internally.

  8. Have numerous SAGE systems not now in use but it would be useful to get into Xero but do not need a monthly subscription although it would be nice for a one off fee to get a xero (READ ONLY)
    set of SAGE DATA in case any historical info required.

  9. Can the data be access in a read-only mode for cancelled subscriptions?
    Often historic data has to be referred to but once a subscription is cancelled, you are no longer able to view any of the data.
    To differentiate between active and cancelled subscriptions the company can be marked in red.

  10. I am looking for an alternative to Quickbooks. As a solo consultant, I thought Xero would be the most appropriate fit for my business. Unfortunately, the fact that I need to subscribe to the top pricing plan at $115 per month in order to be able to bill for time is totally unrealistic. I thought Xero promoted itself as being a good fit for small business???? I don't need to track projects, I just need to be able to bill by the hour and invoice my 2 clients on a monthly basis. I'm sure I wouldn't be alone in these…

    We've been investing in the future and our platform foundations — which includes upgrading our technology across Xero to enable us to build more of the features you are asking us for, faster. And we're also looking at ways we can ensure you’ll have access to AI innovation and mobile upgrades. That means continuing to streamline time-consuming, manual processes – which you can see across AI-powered features like bank reconciliation.

  12. We chose xero because it was competitively priced and had all the features that we required as a small business. We trade in EUR and GBP so have to take the professional product. 2 years ago it cost us 39.60 GBP per month. In September it will cost us 43% and include a range of swanky features we have no intention of using. How about including in your product range the 'xero 22' - a stable product that worked great for so many people. The alternative is an unrecognisable product with equally mystifying price tag.

  13. Dear Xero

    I'm a user of your Standard business plan and happy to pay for this service, but also a user of your Starter Plan for another business in another country and it has some limitations which really need attention for small business owners who don't do much accounting.

    The limit of 5 bills a month has to be increased to at least 10 which seams fair for a small business. I don't see the value of your price increase for basic features we need.

  14. I would like to have my monthly subscription invoices in EUR instead of the standard USD invoices that Xero Global issues. There are a lot of European countries that fall under Xero Global by default but paying these invoices makes us incur unnecessary bank charges due to FX. Please amend and let us decide on the invoicing currency for our subscriptions.

  17. Xero Payroll only subscriptions!

    It would be great to be able to open a payroll only Xero subscription for clients who currently don't need/use Xero for bookkeeping. For example, I have a small client who employees a few people but I only provide year end accounting services to which I use the Ledger subscription to complete the year end accounts. I currently utilise Sage payroll online for the monthly payroll reporting but if I could integrate this into Xero without the need for a main subscription, this would help me keep everything in one place.     We love the fact that our customers want to stay on the pulse of improvements and key changes that could improve their workflows when using Xero.

  19. When purchasing a subscription, there should be a 24 hour cancellation period. On many occasions I have purchased subscriptions that were not correct or not necessary. I upgraded a few of my clients to the Early Plan from the Partner Plan as we needed Hubdoc. Then we found out that Cash Coding was not included and was not stated in the plan description. At that point, I was stuck waiting for 30 days before I could correct it.

Do understand it's a bit difficult after the fact, however we recommend looking up and comparing the different bundles for subscriptions on our website before purchasing.   20. It is ridiculous that you are forced to set a calendar reminder to come back and downgrade a Xero Subscription in a month's time.
    A client may need to increase their subscription purely to account for the crossover period of one staff member leaving and a new one starting and whilst we have no issue paying the additional for the one extra employee, to make it impossible to downgrade for a month after that upgrade is a pathetic cash grab by Xero.
    Make it possible to downgrade the file immediately and have it take effect from the future date.
