  1. AUSTRALIA PAYROLL - Can we PLEASE have a separate Lock Date for Payroll. I have had many incidents where I have prepared an Activity Statement ( PAYG), and the client reverts a pay run to draft, makes a change AFTER THE ENDOF MONTH AND IAS CREATION, and then we have to re-calculate and re-submit IAS for signature.

    The lock date is unable to be added as the ACCOUNTS are still being reconciled, but the payroll is complete.

    This will also be extremely helpful at EOFY.

  2. Be able to produce a payroll report for leave balances with a running balance. I want to be able to see all leave accrued, leave taken and the running balance in one report.

  3. When you invite an employee to xero me for the purpose of submitting their timesheet, there is a drop down menu for the payrate. In this drop down, it shows 'Self' payrate (the payrate of the person submitting the time sheet) and also 'Team' payrate, a list of all the different payrates of the company. Why would you want an employee to be able to see the different payrates of the team?

    This seems like a flaw in the system to me and an employee should only be able to see the payrate that applies to them.

  4. When using the Leave Paid out on Termination feature in xero, the paid out leave is recorded in the Holiday Leave Accrual category. This means we are unable to run a report showing the value of unused entitlements paid out on Termination. This is important information for Workcover Reconciliations etc. Please set up a report for Unused Leave Paid out on Termination.

  5. There is no functionality to retroactively add or edit break times into an employees submitted timesheet. It would be good to be able to edit or add a break time on the timesheet if they forget before approving it.

Whether or not you agree that emailing payslips should be considered by employers as a mandatory procedure once the payrun is logged, there are some basic improvements that should be adopted regardless of your opinion. If payslips have already been sent the the first improvement is to prompt the user that payslips have already been emailed if a user revisits the pay-run options window and clicks on email payslips. If the pay run has already been posted, the second improvement is to still provide access to an individual's payslip to record a message before emailing.

  7. It would be great if we could code annual leave to another account code other than salary and wages. Currently we manually journal these costs to another account in the ledger to separate them. This helps with reporting wages like for like.

  8. STP2 Allowances. Not reportable at W1 should push that information through with STP, but it doesn't. Using reimbursements as a work around is not good enough - better syncing is needed.

  9. With audited clients , we normally only give Read only access, but this excludes payroll access. So either we need to access for them, what the require, or we need to change access level to standard , which is not idea. Can you not have a read only role, with the option to include Payroll?

  10. Timesheet - Earnings Rate viewing space needs increasing
    Why is the space so small to view the earing rate selected, most earning rates are much longer than the space provided, which is creating issues to clarify if the rate selected is correct. And creating additional time required to check the correct rate has been entered or pulled through from scheduling software.
    Please widen this space, there is plenty of room as there is excess room in the Tracking area or the page actually widened.

  11. UK doesn't currently have the remuneration report. This is a basic fundamental requirement on payroll.

  12. Add a box to payroll for an employee's preferred name, for those who don't use their legal name as their everyday contact, it doesn't need to link to ATO, so no major coding, just be there for reference when contacting the employee. I have several clients with staff that use their middle name or a different version of their first name, that they prefer when being addressed, and it being there in payroll would simplify things.

  13. At the moment Xero only produce standard 18 format files for paying employees electronically. There is very minimal banks that accept this kind of format. I I think it would be of great use if we could upload a template file to Xero of the format our bank accepts and it then produces this type of file for us.

  14. Xero Me App Leave Requests to show the total hours being requested by the employee. When Part Time Employees post leave requests there is no way for xero to know that they are only taking part time hours or days

  15. Currently Xero does not assign annual leave and public holiday to a project/job as timesheet doesn't have this function.
    Superannuation generates from payroll (pay run) , however, there is no place to allocate superannuation to different projects/jobs as well.

  18. I have different managers responsible for different employee timesheets so therefore I would really like the ability to authorise specific managers to employees. Am still using mostly paper timesheets because of the massive deficiencies in the XeroMe ones (think is one of the many reasons).
    I don't think its appropriate that anyone authorised can access all timesheets as it does nothing but create confusion and the potential to authorise the wrong ones. Also unnecessarily time consuming.

    Is it possible to please add some tickboxes/controls to remove this hurdle?

  19. When a client fails to pay Superannuation Guarantee levy on time the employer should lodge a Super Guarantee charge form. Is it possible to develop a form where the affected employees can be printed & exported to excel to enable a simple "cut & paste"? If the ATO have started an investigation this can save many hours of work especially if the period covered is several years.

  20. Allow us to turn off the pop up that shows when posting a pay run. I don't need reminders to pay the employees and file the pay run especially when I do payroll for 20+clients.
