  1. It would be good to see the number of notes in the Notes Tab (perhaps in brackets, for example: 'Notes (2)'), so you can see at a glance, if there are any notes for the Employee and if yes, how many.

  2. We have a 2 year old issue where we changed an employee end date then reverted a payrun. HMRC has not recognised the revertion or that the resubmission is the same data so we have a duplicate that we haven't been able to sort out.
    To avoid this pain for others, could there be a pop-up warning if someone tries to revert (or otherwise change) a payrun where an included employee has an end date set? Or if the end date has been changed? The details of how it works can be as is easiest to implement.

  3. Payment Summaries in STP - Copies of prior years.

    • It would be helpful if we could retrieve copies or make reprints of prior year payments. This is particular helpful where a new client comes on board, and you will not have history on files.

  5. Be able to produce a payroll report for leave balances with a running balance. I want to be able to see all leave accrued, leave taken and the running balance in one report.

  6. The ability for an employee to be able to enter the number of kilometres travelled each day. This number being able to filter through to the pay run so the employer can pay an allowance of cents per kilometre.

  7. A CSV/Excel file with headers Employee, Gross, Net, NI, giving essentially the same data as the Payroll Activity Details report, for a payrun, but in column format with one line per employee for ease of reference.

    We have more than 30 employees and the Payroll Activity Details report is very long and cumbersome to reference.

  8. I'd like the ability to delete a super fund from an Employee's Employment tab where they originally had two super funds operating in parallel, and then closed one of their accounts. Currently the obsolete super fund can not be deleted, and can only be updated, which means you end up with two of the same super funds in the employment tab.

  9. When using the Leave Paid out on Termination feature in xero, the paid out leave is recorded in the Holiday Leave Accrual category. This means we are unable to run a report showing the value of unused entitlements paid out on Termination. This is important information for Workcover Reconciliations etc. Please set up a report for Unused Leave Paid out on Termination.

  10. It would be great if we could code annual leave to another account code other than salary and wages. Currently we manually journal these costs to another account in the ledger to separate them. This helps with reporting wages like for like.

  11. When you invite an employee to xero me for the purpose of submitting their timesheet, there is a drop down menu for the payrate. In this drop down, it shows 'Self' payrate (the payrate of the person submitting the time sheet) and also 'Team' payrate, a list of all the different payrates of the company. Why would you want an employee to be able to see the different payrates of the team?

    This seems like a flaw in the system to me and an employee should only be able to see the payrate that applies to them.

  12. There is no functionality to retroactively add or edit break times into an employees submitted timesheet. It would be good to be able to edit or add a break time on the timesheet if they forget before approving it.

  14. Whether or not you agree that emailing payslips should be considered by employers as a mandatory procedure once the payrun is logged, there are some basic improvements that should be adopted regardless of your opinion. If payslips have already been sent the the first improvement is to prompt the user that payslips have already been emailed if a user revisits the pay-run options window and clicks on email payslips. If the pay run has already been posted, the second improvement is to still provide access to an individual's payslip to record a message before emailing.

  15. STP2 Allowances. Not reportable at W1 should push that information through with STP, but it doesn't. Using reimbursements as a work around is not good enough - better syncing is needed.

  16. With audited clients , we normally only give Read only access, but this excludes payroll access. So either we need to access for them, what the require, or we need to change access level to standard , which is not idea. Can you not have a read only role, with the option to include Payroll?

  18. Timesheet - Earnings Rate viewing space needs increasing
    Why is the space so small to view the earing rate selected, most earning rates are much longer than the space provided, which is creating issues to clarify if the rate selected is correct. And creating additional time required to check the correct rate has been entered or pulled through from scheduling software.
    Please widen this space, there is plenty of room as there is excess room in the Tracking area or the page actually widened.

  19. Add a box to payroll for an employee's preferred name, for those who don't use their legal name as their everyday contact, it doesn't need to link to ATO, so no major coding, just be there for reference when contacting the employee. I have several clients with staff that use their middle name or a different version of their first name, that they prefer when being addressed, and it being there in payroll would simplify things.

  20. I have different managers responsible for different employee timesheets so therefore I would really like the ability to authorise specific managers to employees. Am still using mostly paper timesheets because of the massive deficiencies in the XeroMe ones (think is one of the many reasons).
    I don't think its appropriate that anyone authorised can access all timesheets as it does nothing but create confusion and the potential to authorise the wrong ones. Also unnecessarily time consuming.

    Is it possible to please add some tickboxes/controls to remove this hurdle?
