UK Payroll - Option to opt out before pension included in payrun
Please can we have the option to opt an employee out before running a pay run? It is a bit annoying to have to then refund deductions the following month and employees question it as they think they have opted out!

Payroll: Change decimal places on allowances in payslip
Can we please have flexible decimal points on allowances. So overnight stays - 3 - are appearing as 3.0000 and 200 kilometres is appearing as 200.0000 kilometres. I would like to remove those decimal points?

UK Payroll: Upload draft payslips to Xero Me
It would be great if you could upload draft Payslips to Xero Me so employees can check their Payslips first (mainly for variable commission) before they are finalised and payments made.

AU Payroll - Duplicate pay items
Function to duplicate a pay rate category.
For example, we have 1st, 2nd and 3yr apprentices, all on different base rates of pay, plus they also have different rates of pay for day shift, night shift, working on site, working in the workshop etc. XERO doesnt allow me to only calculate super on ordinary hours when i have so many different pay categories as it cant determine just 'ordinary hours"... so for each of those rates i need to have sub categories.... Onsite day shift - OTE and Onsite day shift - ADDITIONAL HOURS Onsite night shift - OTE and Onsite night shift - ADDITIONAL HOURS etc etc. it means my pay categories go from 25 to over 50.... Being able to clik on a pay category and duplicate it, add the word "OVERTIME HOURS" or "ADDITIONAL HOURS" to it, and change the super to exempt would be heaps quicker than having to type each pay categoryFunction to duplicate a pay rate category.

UK Payroll: Include opted-out employees in PAPDIS pension file
PAPDIS Pension reports for submission should include ALL employees not just those who have not opted out as the pension provider (creative) I submit to need all the information as they do the pension assessment on everyone every month. I have to manually edit the csv downloaded every month which can lead to mistakes.

AU Payroll: Alert employees when leave balance is above threshold
I want our employees to receive an automatic email when their leave balance is above a certain level, separate to their payslip. The email will be a prompt advising them of their leave balance and our company policy regarding taking leave. I'd anticipate the email workflow would be triggered once each payroll period, when it is completed, based on a conditional logic such as 'if balance is greater than X, this email is generated for Employee A'.

Payroll - Select all employees in a draft payrun
We have up to 100 employees at certain times of the year, and it would be easier to unselect employees we are not paying, than select employees we are paying. A "select all" option would be good.

AU Payroll - Allow 'Working Holiday Makers' to be classed as Australian Residents for tax purposes
We employ some Working Holiday Makers that would be assessed as Australian Residents for Taxation purposes, but the current STP2 system wont allow us to choose the employment type as Working Holiday Visa and then select one of the 2 tax status choices in the Tax tabs. The conflict seems to come from Selecting the Income Type as Working Holiday Maker - It seems a pointless Selection "Payee's country of Origin' if it doesnt trigger the expected tax rate for that selected country. This is going to create a conflict with the ATO for 3 of my staff. Please allow a choice of tax status's, and this will resolve this problem

Payroll - Ability to organise order of the earnings rate
In the employee card under pay template be able to organise the earnings rates in the order we prefer. For example have employees working overtime, saturday sunday and monday to friday. Being able to put the earnings in alpahbetical; order not how it is saved by Xero.

UK Payroll: Combined report for CIS deducted and suffered
Can we have both CIS deducted by clients and CIS that we deduct from sub-contractors on the P32 report. I use the P32 to tell me what I need to pay across to HMRC but then have to do a separate calculation for CIS that I've deducted from subbies. The way Xero handles CIS deductions from sales invoices is difficult enough already!

AU Payroll - Import Leave Requests into Xero via csv file
Ability to import leave requests using CSV files.
Purpose: To save users time from having to manually create a request to the employee, and approve it. This will also help if they’re using a third party that allows them to export CSV.

AU Payroll - Change earnings rate for ETP pay items
Customisation of ETP preferences to allow drop down menu for rate of pay as only lump sum payment is currently available. Example: terminated employee to receive 2 weeks pay in Lieu of notice. It would be helpful to have the option for Rate per Unit rather than a Fixed Amount only

NZ Payroll: Annual earnings certificate for contractors
Currently we have employees and contractors paid fortnightly through payroll. When printing annual earnings certificates the cert list contractors as employees rather than contractors and scores xero's for kiwisaver deductions and other taxes etc.
We need to be able to print different annual earnings certs that reflect info for employees, and reflect info for contractors with different titles on cert as contractor, not employee.

AU Payroll - Ability to enter timesheet hours in previous payrun
Timesheet entry for hours in previous payrun. This allows employees who missed an timesheet entry to add their hours in . Quickbooks has this ability and it saves the employer from having to do a manual entry on the employees behalf.

AU Payroll: Hide Long service leave balance from ineligible employees
I would like to be able to select only certain employees and add LSL balances on their payslips rather than everyone in the organisation.
My point is, when we set a new employee we started calculating their LSL from day one but we do not necessarily want them to see the balances until they reach 5 or 10 year mark working for the company.
In this case, calculation of LSL is accurate as in 10 years times hours of employees can change btw full time/part time and so on.
I would appreciate an option to select individual employees to display their LSL balances once they reach the right time on their payslips.Thank you.

Payroll: Prompt to save on Employee Details tabs
Bring back 'Save' prompts when changes are made but not saved before you navigate away from the tab.
This was previously existing functionality and has now been removed.

XeroMe - Timesheet One-Touch "Tap n Go" Widget
Timesheet Tap n Go Widget for Mobiles
The Xero Me app is fine for leave and payslips, but it's not the best for end-user timesheet input or management. Sure it works and links to the pay system, but from an end user experience it's behind other timesheet apps as users have to log in to then manually enter times.
However, with a one-touch "tap n go" widget employees could put on their mobile devices (they already download Xero Me ) so they simply tap to input (check-in) the current time and tap to end (check-out).
This is a common feature on most current timesheet apps and is extremely handy, efficient and accurate as the employee checks in and out at that exact moment of workplace entry or exit. No one wants to log in to manually input time. A tap n go feature would increase end-user useability and time recording accuracy.
