  2. Inactive casual employees, so they do not show up all the time on the pay runs, and you do not have to click on the check box each time.

    Also adding a 6-month and yearly payment option as quarterly is too often.

  3. when printing or saving the employee summary report x group the name of the group doesn't appear. If doing multiple groups, this makes it difficult to know which group is which when referring back or from printed reports.

  4. Workers Comp pay item leave accrual idea.

    There is an option to "Accrue Leave for this Earnings Rate" when setting up the WC pay item.

    What would be good is the option to accrue for AL or PL separately as this alters according to state law eg in WA, AL is accrued but not PL on WC payments.

  5. It would be great if there was an option (tick the box) to copy last week's wages for the current week for payroll. I have casual staff who sometimes have the same hours as the previous week's so not having to replicate this would be great and the quickest way would be to have a tick the box which can copy it across to the current payroll

  6. To enhance efficiency and save time, it would be highly beneficial to integrate the payroll system in Xero with Crezco Online Banking. This integration would allow wages to be paid directly through Xero, similar to how bills are currently managed. By automating the connection between Xero's payroll system and Crezco, users could avoid the manual process of downloading payroll documents, uploading them to Crezco, and processing payments. This streamlined approach would significantly reduce administrative tasks and improve overall productivity.

  7. We have 2 employees that will be taking 1 day LSL every week in the new financial year and it would be very helpful if there was a way to add in this type of leave request as a recurring request for the same day each week. Rather than having to add in 1 day leave for each occasion.

  9. The week ending period on the Timesheet Detail Report is Monday to Friday and cannot be adjusted.

    Oaur pay week runs from Wednesday to Tuesday. We have to duplicate data on an Excel spreadsheet for reporting for management.

    It would be very useful if the week ending period could be edited so we could use the reporting in Xero and save time processing payroll.

  10. My EOM reports include PL, BS, Receivables AND payroll. Management report doesn't allow payroll reports to be added. Please allow this to be added to minimise time generating additional reports.

  13. For the payroll drop tap it would be good if we could have notification numbers next to say leave request and timesheets. Like the notifications of expenses.
    This helps to keep track on all leave submissions and what's approved.

  14. When an employee onboards and doesn't have a Tax File Number (TFN) either because they are new to Australia and have just applied for one or they are under 18 and exempt. Xero should have a feature that warns you when they either turn 18 or they have passed the 28 days allowed to work without a TFN and it should automatically change their tax declaration to no TFN provided and change the tax withheld rate, until a TFN is provided.     I’ve noticed that Xero currently doesn’t support applying mixed tax brackets within the same pay run for Working Holiday Makers (WHM). For example, if an employee is set to receive $2,000 in one pay cycle, and the $45,000 threshold is reached after the first $1,000, the first $1,000 should be taxed at 15%, and the remaining $1,000 at 30% — both within the same pay cycle, using mixed tax brackets.

  18. Xero uses 4 decimal places when calculating leave accruals. As it doesn't use the standard 5 decimal places, like most payroll software, the amount of leave entitlement that you record from this in the liability account in the balance sheet and P&L expense is more than it should be.

    But the bigger problem this is causing is the fact that it is actually giving the employee more accrued leave than they are entitled to.

  19. Fixing issues with holidays and making pro-rata holiday calculations automatically
    Calculate starting holiday allowance from the starting date of the employee for new employees joining throughout the year.
    Calculate final holiday allowance based on the end of employment date when employees leave.
    Since Xero knows the holiday hours per year and the working patterns, it has everything it needs to calculate this.

    Hi everyone, appreciate the feedback on the idea here. Being open we don't have any immediate work planned for this.

    However, I also wanted to highlight with differing needs and regulation our payroll products are developed separately for region specifically. We try to keep the ideas regionally separated in community here as it helps when feeding back to the team and also in keeping customers updated.

    That said we have a separate idea for this similar feature in AU Payroll and I've added any voters from AU to that idea to keep updated there.
