  1. If a customer submits a comment on an online invoice, the comment is email to the user that created the invoice INSTEAD of the default reply-to email address that's set within the Xero organisation.

    The whole point of setting the default reply-to was to ensure that all invoice queries go to a desired email address, especially before comments feature was created.

    However now the comments get emailed instead to the user that created it, which defeats the whole purpose of having a default reply-to email address set.

  3. Whenever I enter an invoice for a new customer, which is quite often, it always annoys me that the 'Add new contact' pop-up doesn't have postcode search in it.

    So I end up adding a contact and their email, saving then going into contacts in a new tab to complete their address from their postcode.

    Just add lookup to the contact details in add quote/invoice/etc wherever there is a postcode field.

  4. Is it possible for cash sales/one off payments to chose not to save an email address? Every time I do a one-off cash sale for a new/random customer, the email address automatically saves into the Cash Sale contact file. But the next cash sale invoice is going to a different email address, so while I can input the new email address, the one prior is printed on the invoice! It is getting very tedious having to go into the contact file, delete the previous email address and get back into the new invoice to reprint it every time I do…

    Thanks for your feedback, Carolyn. Appreciate the different use case and why you may not want information from a singular invoice to update the contact. We'll get an understanding of the demand for this here. 

    In the meantime, it'd be good to understand if recording as Receive money could help your flow here for cash sales so you don't have to enter contact details?

  6. Add new field to able to classify or tag suppliers and contacts by category/type for easy searching and reporting e.g. recruitment, employees, stationary, legal, Government. This would really help with our procurement procedures.

  7. Allow the contact's account number <ContactAccountNumber> to be included on Branding Theme invoices (and other documents).

  8. Ability to show customer credit limit on the landing page of a GROUP (In this instance Credit Client)

    Purpose - Users can easily see the credit limit along side the contact name and the headers "You Owe" and "They Owe" Providing a snap shot to avoid the need to click into each individual account to check their credit limit.

  12. Move the Delete button away from preview in files attached to contacts.
    So many times, I have accidently deleted files attached to contacts. The delete button is right next to the preview. There is no way to restore once deleted..

Please automatically remove archived contacts from any previous groups, or show those groups on the archive page. the new group invoicing keep including archived contacts and showing errors. the only way to remove people from groups is to restore them, remove them from groups and the archive them again. with over 1100 contacts this is a mammoth task and one i don't have time for. it was all working fine before you changed to new invoicing, you made the problem, you should make the solution.

  14. It would be useful to look at an activity statement to see how much a certain contact has been invoiced regardless of whether they have paid or not. At present, I can only see outstanding balances.

    Hi community, we'd like to confirm that enabling phone numbers to be stored against additional people within a contact record is not something we have plans to develop at this time. This may be a function we look to explore in the long-term so we're still interested to get a clearer understanding of users that'd like to see this developed, and will continue to track this through the conversation here. If there's any change we will let you know on on this idea.

  16. When you view invoices under activity within a contact it would be immensely helpful to see the description of the invoice as a column because it is very complicated and frustrating to have to open each invoice under a contact before finding the one you are looking for.

  19. Ability to go into the contact/client and see all notes under history and notes also the notes that are made under an invoice for the client. So ALL notes are in one place and users don't need to run a report to check a note. The former Xero layout had this. Invoice notes showed up under history and notes for the client in the old Xero layout before July 2023.
