Invoices - Add account overdue pop up
To have an account overdue notice pop up on invoice screen once customer name is entered. If a customer has an outstanding account - the reminder and amount overdue to pop up as a bit of a warning to the owner whether they should be continuing to do business with this customer, or at least until the account is settled. (I believe reckon account have this feature available and at my previous employment we found this to be most useful)

Sales Invoices - Bulk assign lines to Project/customer
When raising an invoice, add the functionality to 'select all' lines, to add to assign to a Project.
When creating an invoice, even from within a Project each line has to be manually assigned to a project.
Even if an invoice is copied from a previous one from within the project, the project information is not copied over and each line has to be assigned individually.
This is very onerous, especially when there are numerous invoice lines. When actions are taken from within a Project, Xero does not seem to carry this information through, which is very poor.

Bank account - Drag & drop option to change order of bank accounts
It would save so much time if there was the ability to drag and drop the bank account order in the bank accounts screen (so it changes the order in the drop down menus). It is very cumbersome clicking the bank accounts up one step at a time especially when you have over 30 bank accounts!

AU Payroll - Submit Casual Rate timesheets during the week and also the weekend
As you’ve found, right now it’s not possible to submit timesheets using the casual rate during the weekday and then also to be able to submit timesheets for the casual rate that applies on the weekend.
2 votesFrom your idea it sounds as if you'd like employees to be able to submit timesheets with start & end times and different earnings rates, Nathan? This isn't possible atm.
However, an option here where you're dealing with multiple earnings rates for an employee is to get them to submit timesheets using the 'Total hours worked'. This'll let them;
- record the number of hours worked per day, including partial hours
- record time spent at different earnings rates and tracking categories if used.
Your employees may need to edit the timesheet setting, by opening Xero Me, going to Timesheets > Settings and selecting 'Total hours worked'.

Project reports - View estimated profit based on quotes
We need to know Potential Gross Profit when Quoting ( Obviously ! ).
Potential Gross Profit = Estimated Charge minus Estimated Cost.I understand that Project Details reports and Project Summary reports require Time Spent to be entered or an Invoice to be generated before Gross Profit can be shown.
But for Quotes we do not wish to generate an Invoice or record Time Spent, because a Quote is not a Project until it is awarded/won and does not require an Invoice until the Project is complete.
Please can we have the capability to look at Potential Gross Profit equals Estimated Charge minus Estimated Cost without having to generate an Invoice or record Time Spent?
To me this seems like the most fundamental of requirements for Quotes!
Many thanks for reading this.
Kind regards
Alan Watson

AU Payroll - Pay run history to show number of employees in each pay run
When looking at the Pay Run / Pay Run History page, please add number of employees in each pay run to the overview. We report on this each pay period and would make more sense to be shown here then having to click into the pay run or

Expenses Report - Ability to view unapproved expense claims
Xero Expenses - Currently there is no report to get information on expense claims needs approving. (by staff member, period etc) It would be useful to have a report which can be filtered rather then logging in to screen and view all. Thanks!

Expenses: Option to disable mileage claims
Turn off the mileage claims option in the Expense Settings .. currently one cannot do this ... we have never used this option, and it's a pain when we use the Xero expenses app as it adds another layer to inputting an expense.

Invoices: Bulk update invoice all lines
It would be extremely helpful to have a 'master' input at the top of each column of a quote / invoice / bill etc so that the master input is then auto-populated under that column heading for all line-items of the quote / invoice / bill.
For instance, my sales code is likely to be the same for each item of a given invoice, and yet I need to input this code as many times as the number of line-items in the invoice - rather than just once. Same for eg tax code and, in my case, I have a custom field too.
These entries are very frequently identical for a particular quote / invoice / bill, and yet I need to complete this process for every discrete field, rather than make one selection per column. It would significantly improve efficiency from an input perspective.
Even with a master input, I would envisage it still being possible to change discrete entries if one or two line items required a change subsequent to a master input being applied. Much like a master 'select/deselect all' feature works - ie the ability to 'select all' then subsequently unselect one or several entries, or conversely, deselect all, then selecting one or two discrete entries.

Find and recode - Save or favourite a search
We have to use find and recode each month for adjusting certain batches of transactions. These are the same combination of searches used monthly to find and recode.
It would be useful to be able to name and save or favourite search criteria for quick recall each month. (Looking back at previous searches is ok, but not obvious which is which until you click into them).

UK Payroll - Report that shows all employee's current Hourly Rates
In Sage, we used to be able to run a report that allowed us to export all our employees hourly rates, so yearly pay rises were easy to plan from.
There isn't a way to do this in Xero - so my suggestion is to have a payroll report, similar to the employee details report, that allows you to see all employees hourly rates.10 votes -
Payments - Future dated remittance
Be able to send a remittance for a future payment. Currently you can only send remittances a day after the payment has been made when the bank feed has been updated. We have suppliers who wont process our payments without a remittance meaning we run the risk of our account being stopped or alternatively we have to generate a remittance using word which is just duplicating work.
You should be able to generate a remittance for any payment set up and not have to wait 24 hours after the payment is released form the bank account.

Cash Coding - Include columns for all statement line information
Can we please view more than the current bank statement lines in cash coding?
At the moment you can only view 4 bank statement lines in the cash coding tab. Date, Payee, Reference & Description.
We have found that sometimes we have clients using the Analysis Code, particulars or Code to reference details for the bank payment so when these come through to cash coding the view only items are all blank.4 votes -
Xero files - QR code to allow vendor to email cash purchase receipts to Xero
Say I go to a supplier and make a cash purchase. I use my debit card and then walk out with goods and a receipt. Scanning the receipt to Xero and coding the purchase if easy but I am pretty slack and normally lose the receipt before I get to scan it. What say, the vendor scans a QR code that I carry containing my email/Xero info and this allows the vendor's system to email me the purchase document. No paper and I can code the purchase when I am at my PC later in the day. Also means I am more likely to remember to charge the client if it is an item for a specific job. There will be other ways to do this without the need for a paper receipt from a cash purchase, this is just how I imagine it working.
