  2. There are new options now under 'Approve' on the new Sales Invoice. The majority of my invoices are created post-purchase, so I create the invoice, approve the invoice, then usually need to go back to the Invoices overview. I want to see added 'Approve and return' or 'Approve and close'. Currently it takes me three clicks to get back to the invoices, because I need to click on Approve, then 'Invoices' from the breadcrumb, then to 'All' since it defaults back to Awaiting Payment. (Why doesn't clicking 'Invoices' from the breadcrumb take you back to the All tab?? Surely that…

    Thanks for sharing, Trudi. We don't have any immediate plans for this but we'll begin to get a sense of interest for those that'd like to go straight to the All tab after approving an invoice, here.

    In the meantime, although not a complete solution clicking the Business menu in the top navigation and Invoices may save you a click each time rather than having to click back twice through breadcrumbs.

  3. Xero billing: Please make the packages pricing clearer on the monthly invoices.
    i.e. please add the package elements breakdown. It doesn't have to be a separate line item, it could even just be added to the text description, but showing one price, as per the invoices from xero, does not explicity explain that there is a breakdown for items mentioned. Seeing this clarity on the monthly invoices is very helpful for ensuring transparency from xero to its customers.   4. When using Xero Projects, we can assigned Bills and Sales Invoices to a Project.

    However, it is possible to create a Sales Invoice and easily overlook assigning it to a Project.

    There is no way to identify Sales Invoices which have not been assigned to a Project. (A recent update provided a feature to do this for Bills but not Sales invoices)

  5. Xero offers users the ability to select between cash-based accounting and accrual-based accounting for financial reports. However, a major problem is that the inventory sales reports are based only on accrual-based accounting. This means the financial reports and inventory sales reports are never consistent. Please add the ability to run cash-based accounting reports for inventory sales (sales by item, etc.).

  7. Greetings,

    Xero offers an outstanding process for depositing Invoices with Awaiting Payments (pictured below). Our business does not use this feature because invoices are paid immediately.

    Why there is no similar process for Paid Invoices (cash)? It seems of utmost importance.

    I believe numerous businesses would benefit greatly from having this feature for Paid Invoices as it will increase efficiency, accuracy, and allow for more streamlined bookkeeping.

    When you say that the invoices are paid immediately, how are they currently reconciled?

    Just trying to better understand how you envision this flow to help you move more efficiently in Xero.

  8. The Contact Financial Details Reference field used to be populated with the last reference entered for a customer in the Customer Invoice Batch Clearing reference field. I have many customers paying by ACH or Zelle and have the same reference information each week. For my customers that I have had for a long time the reference field is copied from the Contact Financial Details Reference.   9. When reconciling, it would be helpful to see if an attachment has been added, and to preview that attachment if so, rather than having to open the bill and then click on the attachment, then causing to lose the info on the reconciliation page.

  10. To attach proof/evidence of multi receipts/payments when that batch is a mix of invoice and also pre/overpayment, credit. We can attach to a single type of action, but not mixed. Keeps things tidy and also much quicker to see what exactly was in a batch, than to go back to a physical document holder

Need to be able to view the exchange rate when editing a draft of a repeating invoice each month to make sure it is picking up the correct month end rate before the invoice is saved and emailed. It's creating so many more uneccesary clicks and errors that need amending when it could be simply solved by having it come up when editing as it used to PLEASE! It is critical for our business as all of our sales invoices are in foreign currency and it is a nightmare using the new version for me

  12. I have worked with an accounting system that allows many rows e.g. description, Qty, Price, Account and Tax rate to be copied from Excel (at a go) and pasted to create an invoice, Journal etc. This saves a lot of time.

  13. When adding an invoice we can add an amount and make it either Vat inclusive or exclusive using the drop down box.
    Currently this box is on the left side of the invoice layout..why not have it on the right next to the total box as it was in classic view?
    It would be more user friendly!

  15. When reconciling the bank, I always like to start with 'quick wins' and attempt to reconcile the suggested matches first. After the recent improvements, surely it now makes sense to add a filter on the bank feed reconciliation screen to 'show lines with suggested matches'?

    (This software coding must already exist because there is an option on the cash coding tab to 'Show lines with suggested matches' like in the screenshot)

  16. The new invoicing alerts you to a credit on a customer's account if you APPROVE an invoice but if you APPROVE AND ADD ANOTHER invoice it simply moves right on and does not mention the credit. Please could the apply credit option be available regardless of the way you finalise your invoice.

  17. Creating projects in Xero is a great and useful function. Creating estimated expenses inside of the projects is even greater. However, those estimated expenses not showing estimated costs to complete the project is a missing crucial feature for me. Currently the estimated costs do not show in projects summary reports unless there are expenses towards that estimated expense item. This is a major flaw because anyone wanting to track estimated expenses needs to know the estimated costs to complete on all projects.

  18. If I want to see all invoices for a customer, I have to go to invoices and filter in various ways to get the results I want. This seems counterintuitive. I would expect to go to the customer under contacts and be able to see all information relevant to that customer including invoices.

Need to be able to accumulate annual leave and sick leave when an employee has to rates of pay for example: working in two departments - one pay 24.50hr and the other department pays $24.17hr, currently Xero does not accumulate pay on multiple ordinary hours pay rates, one has to be and overtime rate using multiple of hours how can you do this for a rate with a difference of 33c.
