  1. Xero subscription - Have a way to turn the e-invoice into a new repeating bill so that it can show up in the bills you need to pay widget. I know I could create a new repeating bill but I can not see an option that will let the Reference and the line description update to what is on the e-invoice.

  2. completing a cert IV in accounting and bookkeeping you have to become a user for approximately 10 different companies. Therefore once you have finished your course they sit in your My Xero, the only way to remove yourself as a user it to do each one, can you have an option to remove yourself as a user for multiple companies in one step.

  3. Reducing clicks:
    When applying a payment to a bill or an invoice, I usually want to attach a source document (image of check, confirmation of our POS system, etc.). Right now I cannot do it while applying the payment. Right now (in 'old' invoicing/bill) I have to instead apply the payment, find myself in the accounts transaction overview, go back to invoice, click on the payment I just applied and then I have to option of uploading/attaching a document. Very inconvenient.

  4. Whenever I enter an invoice for a new customer, which is quite often, it always annoys me that the 'Add new contact' pop-up doesn't have postcode search in it.

    So I end up adding a contact and their email, saving then going into contacts in a new tab to complete their address from their postcode.

    Just add lookup to the contact details in add quote/invoice/etc wherever there is a postcode field.

  7. Is it possible for cash sales/one off payments to chose not to save an email address? Every time I do a one-off cash sale for a new/random customer, the email address automatically saves into the Cash Sale contact file. But the next cash sale invoice is going to a different email address, so while I can input the new email address, the one prior is printed on the invoice! It is getting very tedious having to go into the contact file, delete the previous email address and get back into the new invoice to reprint it every time I do…

    Thanks for your feedback, Carolyn. Appreciate the different use case and why you may not want information from a singular invoice to update the contact. We'll get an understanding of the demand for this here. 

    In the meantime, it'd be good to understand if recording as Receive money could help your flow here for cash sales so you don't have to enter contact details?

  8. Would it be possible to set up repeating projects? IE if I do the same work for a client each month to save me keep setting up a new project could I choose for it to be a repeating project?

  9. When a custom P&L is created it does not update if there is any change in the chart of accounts. For example, if we move a nominal from the P&L to the BS it will still show in the P&L if the custom report was created before the move. This is a major flaw and when raised with Xero we are told to just re-do the custom reports, some of which take a long time to do.

  11. Awaiting payment - max 200 bills.
    I have a supplier who I pay monthly and there are always over 200 bills. I want to make one batch payment for the whole amount, but currently I have to do it on two - the first 200 bills, and then the remaining. Please can this 200 limit be increased?

  12. We need more flexibility in depreciation schedules to add Second Hand Capital Works Assets for rental properties.
    When you buy a second hand rental property, the capital allowances available under Div 43 needs to be calculated on the original cost, however, the total amount remaining to be claimed will be less than this original amount. Fixed Assets in Xero does not currently allow for this. We need to calculate the depreciation on a straight line basis based on the original cost, not what we paid for it and we need to be able to include an opening written down value,…

  13. Banking Feed Login - Direct Xero Notification

    I receive direct notifications from my bank platform when my business account is being accessed. Having the bank account linked to Xero is functional, but creates some security anxiety as I receive notifications from the banking platform about a login and then need to check if it is Xero. A direct notification - or even just email notification - from the Xero app would be helpful to cross reference and know that the specific login is Xero and not a security threat. I have searched quite extensively but haven't found this option.

    This page states I can set up custom notifications in the business section under features and notifications but this is not available in my xero, only 'practice organizations' have these features.

    I want to be able to set up notifications or reminders for my staff. For example to follow up a sent quote or other tasks.

    Also, I think quotes should have the same reminder system as invoices as I think this will assist with getting quotes accepted.

  15. As a bookkeeper, I want Xero to support bank feeds for my company’s Certificate of Deposit (CD) savings accounts. My financial institution (Chase) sends data on my CDs to the Xero feed, however, Xero ignores the CD accounts in feed. CDs are supported by other FinTech companies with similar feeds, and should be a low effort feature for Xero to implement.

  18. Mobile/ipad bank reconciliation

    Request to show in the suggested green match it is 1 of many if more than 1 matching invoice (as it does in desktop)

    Else payments can be matched to incorrect same value invoices - what a headache to fix later..

    AND

    … find and match can only search by name or invoice number -

    Please add to search by invoice amount (as this will help with when there are multiples to choose the correct one)

  19. New Invoicing - currently wont allow me to send an invoice (as a reminder for payment) if it is in a locked period. Which i don't understand as it is not affecting the accounts in any way.
    It is very time consuming having to download and then email from google, rather than straight from Xero as before.

  20. In Australia, users need to be able to manually edit the amount of GST paid on a transaction. This is required because certain transactions (particularly grocery and pharmacy transactions) have a mixture of items, some of which have GST applied, and some that do not. Unfortunately, the receipts for these types of transactions do not indicate which specific items have incurred GST - they just have a total amount of GST paid on that receipt. As such, it would be great if users could just override the total amount of GST paid for those receipts. See attached for an example…
