Contacts - Automatically remove archived contacts from groups
Please automatically remove archived contacts from any previous groups, or show those groups on the archive page. the new group invoicing keep including archived contacts and showing errors. the only way to remove people from groups is to restore them, remove them from groups and the archive them again. with over 1100 contacts this is a mammoth task and one i don't have time for. it was all working fine before you changed to new invoicing, you made the problem, you should make the solution.

Batch Payments - Ability to 'split' when reconciling
Currently a client can upload a number of invoices and then create a batch payment for these invoices. When they make a payment for 1 of the invoices in the batch, you have to remove and redo the payment then match the separate invoice up, and then recreate the batch payment, excluding the amount which has now been paid. Would be easier if like with invoices, the batch payment could be split, saving the new to remove and then recreate the batch payment.
323 votesHi everyone, thanks for the idea and support here. We appreciate all the valuable feedback and ideas shared regarding the ability to split batch payments when reconciling, and understand it currently takes extra steps to reconcile when a single invoice among a batch has been paid, or when there are multiple payments to the same entity for different invoices.
Being transparent, we don’t have direct plans for making this change within the foreseeable future but if anything changes in this space, we’ll update you on this idea! -

Search Function on Bank - Received or Spent
In the search function under the Bank Statements or Account Transactions tab,
It would be great to filter only received or spent transactions.1 voteHi Tiaan, while you can't filter or search by money received or spent you can order your transactions from the Account transactions tab by Received or Spent by clicking on the column header. Does this achieve what you're in need of here, or could you share a bit more detail of what you're often looking to find? If needed you could add a date search to filter these down further.

professional version
Wouldn't it be a good idea to develop a professional version of XERO for those of us who use this for bigger concerns or who are professional bookkeepers? This one size fits all approach is not ideal, we don't require pop ups telling us how to create a copy invoice every time when it is something we do on a regular basis. Not the only thing that slows us down but there are too many to list
1 voteThanks for your feedback, Michelle. When you say a professional version are there other things out side of the notifications in product that you'd be looking for within a product of this kind?
Being open we don't have anything like this planned, however understanding your needs can help when sharing your feedback with the team.

New invoicing - Option to turn off 'mark as sent' pop-up
Stop "Mark as sent" pop-up for every invoice. When making multiple new invoices, this pop-up occurs for each invoice made, no matter if reminders are turned off. This is new, started April 2024, and XERO support states there is no way to turn this off.

New Invoicing - Make it work with Projects
The new invoicing doesn't work properly with Projects! A disaster for me this morning - trebled the time it takes to do my weekly Projects invoices. When it falls over because it can't find the GL Code to use, and doesn't even have subtotal and total fields....did someone forget about that when they were adding all the new empty space on the screen and screwing the work flow up?
4 votesHi Karen, this does sound like odd behaviour and would be good to get a closer look into. I see you've also come into our Xero Support team and they've suggested booking a time to connect and share screen so they can see the behaviour occurring for you. If you can respond to them through your My Cases they can investigate this with you 1-on-1. Thanks

UK Payroll - Unpaid leave report
So simple but not available. To record an absence i.e. sickness (unpaid) IN DAYS and to have a simple report showing dates and number of days sick.
The payroll reporting is so seriously lacking in all areas

AU Payroll - Filter Leave Balance report by employment status
Has support considered the option to filter the leave balance report by employment status? When generating this report all employees are listed or only an individual employee. Why would we need the current balance of leave for terminated employees? I have some employees who have returned, so both are listed but I don't know which is active until I run the report on each.

Invoicing - Ability to bill/charge a different contact
Some of my customers utilise my services through a scheme where their employer or a separate 3rd party will pay their invoice.
Often this same employer or 3rd party will be paying for many of my different clients and they will often pay me in one payment.Think of something like an insurance company paying for repairs on many different vehicles, or NDIS payments for the provision of health services to many different customers.
I quite urgently need a way to keep each customer separate so that I can easily retrieve sales history and data based on individual customer, and…

Contacts - Allow multiple addresses for a single contact record
Ability to create and save multiple addresses for a single contact record
Purpose: Allow customers to map customer & supplier details against a single contact record
1,223 votesHi community, we understand your needs in this feature and want to assure you were taking on board all your feedback.
As many of you accustom to this idea will know, multiple addresses requires a complex solution. It's been something we’ve been moving towards for some time and we’ve done a lot of back end work that will allow us to bring it to you in the future.
We have 12 different products within Xero that rely on contact data, as well as many of our app partners. This means that contacts need to seamlessly flow across technology, products and all connections on Xero. And that’s exactly what we’ve been working on.
One of the reasons we announced the retirement of classic invoicing is because many of the features being asked for, just can’t be brought into classic invoicing. The old technology has too many technology limitations to enable this.…

History & Notes - Login - Timestamps for login history
Audit trail of logins to Xero - there seems to be a series of different visual aids and short screen reports showing when a user last logged in, however from an audit perspective, it would be ideal to have a report that can be run for set periods showing when users have logged in. The information to run this type of report is there from the History and Notes report and the Assurance Dashboard. However a report that shows a time/date stamp would be ideal as evidence in cases of fraud/performance management

UK Payroll - Salaried employees who work changing shifts each week
In service industries like hospitality salaried employees will work a different set of shifts each week across 7 days. Currently I have to set up a working pattern and if they phone in sick on a Saturday for example if that day isnt set as their working day (i.e we set them up as Mon-Fri for ease) we have to record the sick day on the Monday to ensure it is deducted. But in these industries the working days are different each week and they dont work on a set pattern. Need the ability to set that the employee works…

Bank Accounts | Account Transaction - show related account codes
It would make a quick check of allocations so much easier if the dashboard for bank accounts allowed you to customise the "account transaction screen" so you could toggle between options like you can under reports - account transactions. By enabling account codes to show in the "cash book side" would help us identify misallocations so much quicker and the data is there ...
