    1. Purchase orders reset to 'include GST' ever time you start a new PO. Why does it not just remember the last setting like invoicing does. (Or an option to lock it to a setting)

    2. Ability to add more information to invoices like customers phone number or email. It's an option. Saves warehouse staff or anyone having to look up the information. (At this time I use the country for the phone number and contact for the email)

  1. Expenses search and sort.

    If you only have access as a user and not full access to the accounts, searching past expenses is a painful experience.

    What a painful thing searching for expenses in Xero is.

    Can't filter by date range, or search for a particular description, or search by account. And they're in some unfathomable order which you can't sort by date.

    Suggestions: Sort by date option to help answer questions like 'did I remember to file that expense 3 months ago'

    Filter on date range: 'Show only expenses between January and March last year'.

    Search on description: List…

  3. The upgraded Quotes layout does not allow me to attach pdf's from the Files Section.
    The only way to do this now is to download pdf from Files. Open Quote and Save it. Upload pdf.

    This has significantly slowed down the workflow - please can Xero Quotes be able to add attachemnts from Files and before Saving.

  5. Some xero reports can be run by last month, last quarter, last financial year etc. The above report can only be run by entering specific dates. Could this report have the same pre set date options added? This would be useful for client query lists for monthly/ quarterly BAS Returns, annual accounts/ tax returns etc

    Hi everyone, while not completely solved, we've made a recent addition to the client export which now allows you to export the Subscriber Email. This should help provide a better view and filter your clients subscriptions through the export file. 

  7. The longer I use Xero the more supplier invoices it stores.
    When I use the recent bills report it takes so long to go back to the beginning 2015 in my case before it allows you to put in a date search.
    It would be great if we could have a function to archive old supplier and customer invoices- not losing them altogether but just in the background to be viewed if needed.

For clients we have with director only payroll, if we could schedule all the filings and pay runs to be done automatically and we just get a pop up box just before they go to confirm nothing has changed for a number of different clients rather than one at a time? I believe Sage Payroll are working on this and Keypay payroll system can already do this too. Just wondering if there's anything on the radar for Xero to to the same?

  10. Can we have one more category of user role in Xero (A user role with Ability for only to create all possible drafts + View reports)?

    This kind of user role can help to minimise recording errors when any transaction (Quotation, Invoice, Bill, expenses, transfer, receive and spend money) can have two steps approval. It can provide more verification flexibility /security for the business which managed by more than one person as well.

    View reports can help the initiator to check the effect of the transaction after approval.

  11. Add a "DUE" Column to The new "Customer Invoice Summary" report if it is to replace the "Customer Invoice Report". At the moment the proposed change will remove functionality. We rely on the current Customer Invoice Report to update our cashflow. The proposed "BALANCE" column is not the same as the "DUE" data. "BALANCE" only gives Invoices not paid at end of filtered period rather than what is left to be paid period.
    Alternatively..... DO NOT RETIRE THE CUSTOMER INVOICE REPORT!!!!

  12. Enable option to enter birthdate for contractors in payroll. Our contractors have been with us for years and we like to recognise their birthdays. Since xero payroll integrates with Finlerts LeaveCal and Google Calendar, this would make this a breeze :-)

  13. When receiving a superannuation bounce back amount, it would be really great to be able to click into a Superannuation Payment Details batch that has been processed and export to Excel, to be able to search and calculate totals to match the bounced back super.

  14. In addition to individual accounts, it would be great to select a group total from the Balance Sheet (or P & L) to put in the Account Watchlist, eg if you have a number of loans and you want to see what Total Loans are on the dashboard.

  15. Currently you can add a discount of any amount including 100% on an invoice. However if you have a 100% discount the nominal ledger account doesn't save - so you can't report on it. We would like to know all subsidies across all courses but can't currently do this as if we have a fully funded course the NL code won't save so is left blank.

  17. currently we put all of our mileage through as an expense claim and then make a bath payment once it is a certain amount, however when creating the batch payment, the report produced at the end just simply stated expense claim. this can be clicked to go in individually however it would be nice if the description for that expense could also be shown so that it produces a better overview of what is being paid. even if this is just an option to add different columns that it can be selected from, that would improve things.

    Would still need to consider an optional trigger here as different businesses process projects in different ways. 

    Appreciate the efficiency play and while this isn't something we have plans for atm, we'll track the interest of this here. 

  19. I have voted for the idea "Switch Rules - Notes to Financial Accounts" but would like to also propose an idea that may be of benefit if that one is too complex to implement.

    Enable a rule that allows an account to be shown/hidden depending on the balance.

    For example - if Accounts Receivable is a credit balance then it will display, if it has a negative balance it is hidden.
    That means that the Accounts Receivable account could be added to two schedules in the report, but will only show in one, which should align with switch rules in…

    Appreciate you thinking of other ways to solve something, Jessica. With a lot of the reporting teams concentration on elements to redevelop the most vying features from older reports in the new before their removal later this year I want to be open that we don't have this in pour plans at this stage. 

    We'll start to get a sense of the interest for this here, and let you know if there are any changes.
