Customer Statements - Add a Pay Now link
Ability to add a Pay Now link to statements so customers can pay all outstanding bills via the statement they receive.
Purpose: To make it easier for customers to view and pay their outstanding bills and make a bulk payment for all at once.
Hi everyone, we wanted to return and give a little more information with the update of this idea's status.
Our product team are currently looking into the development of adding the Pay now button to Customer statements which would enable your customers to pay for multiple invoices at once.
Though it's early days at present we'll keep you updated of their progress, here.

This feature is critical and I would have thought obvious

The pay now button will help our clients pay faster and it would make bookkeeping be easier to reconcile the payment as well

Our customers only pay on statement, and I would get a lot more people paying instantly they receive the statement via a Pay Now button, than them having to take time away from their clients, to ring me and tell me their credit card details every month. Please hurry!

I am amazed this isn't already possible.

The ability for a customer to pay all open invoices off the statement would be nice vs them opening each invoice.
It would also be nice to allow the amount being paid to be modified. Sometimes they want to split the payment, which they cant do at this time. Its pay the full amount or none. I prefer something to nothing.

This is definitely necessary, surprised it hasn't been done previously.

I agree with what others have said, you have the Pay Now function on invoices, it seems so outdated that you cannot have it on statements. You charge monthly subscriptions and then we as customers are losing billable hours because we cannot service our customers adequately.
We just moved our large business to Xero and I'm already wanting to go back to MYOB for the ease of their pay now system. Please prioritise this feature. -
Matthew Wingrave commented
Please prioritise this feature, for a company as advanced as XERO it is unfathomable that you aren't able to do this. Such a needed, and quite honestly simple feature to add.

I don't really understand why you can have the "pay now" button on invoices but not on statements. In an effort to be consistent with our customers and make it easy for them to pay this is a critical feature!
As a workaround we've added a website link to the email template for statements that takes customers to the same place our "pay now" button does. It's not as obvious but hopefully will help make things easier for everyone.

we have been asking for this and many other basic features for years.
They will never implement it. It only benefits business owners, trying to run and streamline their business. Xero's main client base are tax agents/firms. They dont need these features so they arnt going to waste their time implementing it.Xero, no matter how they advertise themselves are not for someone running a small business/sole trader. If you do choose to use Xero for your accounting, find another app in the front end to do your day to day invoicing and client communication, take payment. Once transaction is done and finalised, push it to Xero for reconcile and thats it.

Payment link on statements would be a very good feature. Crazy that when you send an invoice they have a payment link but not when you send a statement

Great suggestion, it would definitely make invoice payments more efficient and our business more professional.
It has been embarrassing to inform our customers that we cannot make one payment for all their invoices via credit card payment. Very unprofessional. -

Not being able to have a pay now button on statements is crazy. If you can have it on the invoice why not the statement. Being able to pay multiple invoices all in one makes so much sense rather than the client having to click into each and every invoice to pay it. It saves the client time and gets our bills paid quicker.
Please add in the facility

Hi Kelly
Your customers are clearly telling you this is top of their priority list, and they are aware your competitors already provide it.
Why have an ideas forum asking us to tell you what’s important to us and then ignore us?
If you have a pay now button on invoices why can't you add it to statements and reminders?
Your reply doesn't suggest it is a difficult task, or that Xero have even tried to do it and hit a roadblock - it's not about opportunity to improve this area but necessity.
