  1. The ability to bulk update staff access to client tax returns in xero tax. Currently, the only way to change staff access to certain clients in the xero tax feature is to go into each client file and change it individually. A bulk update function would be more efficient and less time consuming.

  2. Add the ability to reference a job via the url e.g. https://app.practicemanager.xero.com/job/jobview.aspx?id=J012480 where J012480 is the Job Code in XPM.

  3. An option should be added in Xero settings, company settings, to manually enter the start date (at the moment you can only enter the end year date)

    There should be an option to extend the settlement period manually in the balance sheet to generate a report.

    When a company changes status to limited in the middle of the month, the first settlement period is extended by that half of the month (e.g company start January 18, 2023, end January 31, 2024), the balance sheet should show the settlement on these dates (and not from February 1, 2023 to January 31,…

  6. When running multipage Profit and Loss Accounts you can manage date by default which makes sure that each page is covering the same period.
    When running the same report on a month by month summary it would be helpful if we could also have a manage 'Compare with' butoon instead of having to go into each p & l separately and remember to update each page.
    The number of times I have forgotten to update the page and save the report before closing I hesitate to count.

  7. Some supplier invoices don't have a currency on them eg USD and Hubdoc enters the base currency of the organisation eg NZD - if you could assign a currency to a supplier, it would avoid having to manually change the currency on each invoice

  8. It would be extremely useful if the Account Transactions download included the description that is entered into the invoice posting. Currently the download description is simply the contact name plus the transaction type. Also please can the download also include Quantity. It isn't easy to produce a report that shows sales in a particular unit of measure which covers all transaction types. For example the Receivable Invoice Detail report does show quantities, but this does not include Receive Money transactions (where a sales invoice has not been posted)

In MYOB, we had individuals as well as partnerships and trusts (which names included surnames of the associated individuals) set up in surname order, which would allow the clients to be sorted, filtered and exported to various lists or worksheets in that order and make it easy to compare/pick up other fields that should be the same for the group/family members (like addresses, emails for tax notices etc). In Xero, however, the names are sorted by the Name* (for entities) or Display Name* (for individuals) - the fields which we only want to be used as display names on the…

  13. Per the attached screenshots, it would significantly increase efficiency to be able to use quick keyboard shortcuts when entering timesheets. Specifically the + and SAVE buttons, as almost everything else can be entered using the keyboard alone.

  14. have supplier inv reference picked up in hubdoc and posted through to xero so xero can show in supplier reconciliations . so supplier canrecognise our ledger . also avoid hours trying to cross refer supplier invoice reference queries to the associated hubdoc unless obvious by date

  15. Naturally, when emailing in invoices and receipts, we end up with extraneous items in the Docs Pane on the left hand side. To delete these, we currently only have a small 'delete' button in the far top right corner, followed by a confirmation message in the centre of the screen.

    It'd be great if the UI was updated to have either:
    - a delete button closer to the Docs Pane on the left hand side
    - some right click functionality, to allow us to delete documents
    - some keyboard shortcuts to allow us to process these items much quicker

  16. We are finding staff are regularly being logged out of XPM when they move between the 'Clients' tab & the 'Jobs' tab. When this happens it asks staff to log back in, but we are finding it is taking them to random different areas of XPM instead of back to where they were. i.e Setting up a new organisation page, in the middle of a client file etc. This appears to be a basic functionality issue that needs to be fixed.

  17. In the last financial year, we made multiple and significant layout changes to the accounting schedules in our financial notes.
    Therefore, we intend to 'Copy and Edit' most of our financial reports. However, we have found that when you 'edit layout' it removes the date field codes in our numbered notes regardless of if you edit the number notes or not - therefore losing it's auto updating feature.
    As a result, we are now having to manually update the year in all of our financials, or start from scratch.

  18. Currently we can update a clients physical/postal address and then update all those relevant in the group using the pop up 'Update relevant client addresses'. It would be so helpful and save time to be able to do this for the EMAIL address of a client.

  19. I’d like to suggest adding an automated feature for populating dates in the Company Minutes, using the reporting date as a reference. This would eliminate the need to manually update dates throughout the document, saving time and reducing errors.

  20. I have just learned that XPM does not connect to Outlook and thus Client data is not synced. I thought this would be the most important information to sync with outlook, Afterall clients are who accountants communicate with most.
