  1. Allow CSV/XML Import into Xero Tax Returns from External Form Tools
    Please add the ability to import tax return data into Xero Tax from external tools like Content Snare using a structured CSV or XML—similar to ATO pre-fill.

    This would let us auto-fill returns from client forms, reduce manual entry, and speed up processing. A simple mapping template or import tool would make a big difference.

  2. There needs to be functionality to have multiple trusts or superfunds with the same name i.e. Smith Family Trust or Brown Family Superannuation Fund, as ATO does no require these to be unique, without causing issue with invoices in Blue Xero or having to change the name in XPM to differentiate and have to change the name again each time you lodge. Same name trusts and superfunds is not uncommon.

  5. Client Merge popup box needs to be expandable. It wants me to select which client that will merge into from the other (which is irreversible) but I can't expand the popup screen or hover over the fields to see what is written in full to know which one to select.

  6. Aged Receivables Detail Report - could the notes for invoices be included as a tick box under the columns. This would allow a quick reference point to see how many times the customer has been contacted regarding requests for payment and then allow for the conversation with the client re debt collection processes.

  7. Reinstate the 'Compare With' drop down.

    The key benefit of the old General Ledger Summary report was it's ability to show the net movement for multiple periods.

    Xero is now without a single report to perform this core function.

    Hi Christine, just making sure I understand what you'd like to see here. Would this be to sort all organisations you have access to from your My Xero page ordered by the # of unreconciled items ?

  9. The ability to bulk upload/import Recurring Jobs via .csv file, in the same way you can Bulk Import Jobs that are not recurring.

    This allows for each row to have the copy/paste capacity for overlapping criteria and can be quickly created through a spreadsheet (which could stem from an Export of your client list to 'schedule' your job creation throughout the year).

    One import for an entire client base would be considerably more streamlined and efficient.

  10. One of my clients found it very confusing when trying to view & sign a document within Xero sign, as she said there was not an option to view the documents before signing...

    She only saw the option to "Click to Sign" - I advised her she could click this option & would then be able to view the documents before signing, but she was very upset that this option was described as "Click to Sign" & suggested that it should be changed to "Click to Review & Sign" instead.

  11. Would love the ability to efficiently reassign clients in bulk within XPM, using tickboxes (like in the jobs list) to select the relevant clients and reassign to a new accountant. The import/export feature is clunky and often errors on import. A quick and easy way to complete this function would improve client experience when a new accountant joins the firm.

  13. I would love to have the ability to define and enforce firm-wide custom file naming conventions for reports generated using custom templates within Practice Reporting and Xero HQ.

    Currently, exported reports are named using a generic default (e.g., CompanyName_ReportName.pdf), with no option to set naming rules at the firm-level. For firms managing multiple clients and maintaining standardized file systems, this can create inconsistency.

    My ideal solution would allow each custom report template to include a predefined naming convention which would be applied automatically when reports are exported.

    For example, we prefer:

    Balance Sheet MM.YY – ClientName
    Income Statement MoM MM.YY…

It would be good if any report you can already run in Xero could be added to a report template - this would include GST reports (activity statement and GST reconciliation), payroll reports etc. That way instead of having to manually extract each of these reports for each client we can just do it in bulk through one report template.

  15. Xero HQ should include a feature called ‘Chart of Report Codes,’ functioning similarly to the Chart of Accounts in Go Xero. This feature would allow Advisors to define and customise Report Codes themseves, rather than relying on Xero's predefined Report Codes, as they possess a deeper understanding of their clients' accounts than Xero. Consequently, Advisors could generate diverse Management Report Pack templates based on different sets of Report Codes configurations to accommodate diverse industries.

  16. Currently hubdoc suggests that a document is a Credit Note and to check before proceeding. Can this be the same when a document has Statement written on it. I find that statements are often processed as invoices causing duplicate payments within Xero

  20. Extend the information in Xero HQ to include full client data.
    Information that would be good to see on each client information schedule would be;

    a. VAT registration date, this is required for security with HRMC so needs to be in one place when contacting them.
    b. VAT quarters (We do have clients that don’t use xero and this information is important)
    c. PAYE registration details (Not all clients use Xero payroll and equally flicking between various clients bookkeeping systems when on the phone to HMRC is a bit irritating!)
    d. UTR details for companies
    e. Tax district for Both…
