  1. Have a separation of Client Edit privileges to allow practice staff to edit Contacts, Groups, and Relationships without having full edit access (e.g. will not be able to edit client address, email address, Agent, etc)

  2. I would like to be able to send a bank/xero link to connect the AMEX credit card feeds or other banks that enable linking via internet banking, rather than having to add the client as a user in Xero first to be able to connect bank feeds via a link. This seems to complicate the signing of completed financials and tax returns sent from xero to the client for signature. It asks them to login (when their email is connected with a Xero account just so they could link internet banking) and many clients are finding it frustrating.

  4. Enable reporting / export for the 'Fee from Refund' field under Tax under the Tax and Company section in clients.

    The other fields in the ax and Company section are available in the Client & Contact Report Builder, however this field is overlooked. I understand that there is a 3rd party request to have this field included in the Client API.

  11. Is it possible to add a few extra columns to XPM - All jobs board rather than creating different reports or clicking on different jobs/pages to collate basic client information. I would like to add the following columns to assist with Trusts and Superfunds.

    -Trustee/Company Name
    -Invoice Number

    Currently, if you invoice a Trust e.g. ABC Family Trust for XYZ Pty Ltd (Trustee), I would like to see both entities in Jobs board and not just ABC Family Trust. This comes in handy when chasing payments or matching jobs as a result in separate jobs linked to a Trust or…

  12. It would be great to see the tax refund/payable next to the tax return in the client view, tax returns tab, saves opening up the tax form. Would also be good to see the assigned staff member in the jobs tab in client view, saves clicking into job.

    Thanks for all the detail around the different scenarios a pause function for the timer would help with.


    Our team have been taking interest in ideas in the forums here. 

    With the way the timer works with Practice Manager today, developing the ability to pause this would require extensive work and this isn't something we're able to resource at this time.


    As we enhance integrations through practice manager our practice teams will continue to track ideas on the site here, and share if there's any change.

  14. Expose the staff billable rate on the XPM API?

    The billable rate for staff timesheets/tasks aren't available for jobs until they are invoiced, and there's no way for integrations with XPM to understand the in-progress cost of a job without getting the staff billable rate... or if there's an override on the job.

  15. There could be many possible things to be able to track in there, but I would like to be able to:

    Limit the 'states' shown to things I am directly involved with like 'For review' and 'For Invoicing'.

    My secretary would want to see states that apply to her like 'to sign'.

    Only show 'Priority level' High and Urgent (with the flick of a keystroke)

    Possibly allow some of the functionality in the 'jobs' tab or the report builder to be 'saved' in the dashboard screen like mini tables that update real time?

  17. Some sort of link for each partner so we can have clients sign up with us directly from our website. Alot of my clients sign up for all my services from a link on a website. This would be very beneficial in my opinion. See this one for example with zoho books.

  18. How can I make the client and detail columns wider. It is very restrictive as I cant fully see the client code and description. I know this is a Xero development issue but it would help a lot. It is really convenient to bill from this screen. Also I arrange the clients alphabetically, and when going into a client and see what to bill, when i go back to the WIP list it defaults back to sorting by value.

  19. Recurring job screen in XPM is too narrow. Can't see all of the job name or full dates. Would be good to fill the screen to allow more information to be visible rather than having to click in to each job.

  20. XPM include archived clients in XERO search / list endpoints. Similarly, to how contacts in the accounting API are handled by passing the includeArchived=true query. This will allow clients from XPM with a status of ARCHIVED to be included in the response.
