XPM - Job No. Sequence Update after import of .csv file
Currently, when jobs are imported using a .csv file, the job number sequence is not updated and this has to be manually update it once the jobs have been imported.
As jobs will need to be imported in manageable batches, there is room for errors to occur if the job number sequence does not automatically update.
Can this be something that is looked into this coming year?
You will need to manually update it once you've imported all your jobs.

Practice Manager | Ability to customize the Dashboard
There could be many possible things to be able to track in there, but I would like to be able to:
Limit the 'states' shown to things I am directly involved with like 'For review' and 'For Invoicing'.
My secretary would want to see states that apply to her like 'to sign'.
Only show 'Priority level' High and Urgent (with the flick of a keystroke)
Possibly allow some of the functionality in the 'jobs' tab or the report builder to be 'saved' in the dashboard screen like mini tables that update real time?

Practice Manager - Timestamps for Job status change
Job statuses. Is there a way that when a job moves from one status to the next, it automatically timestamps these movements. It's time consuming having to add a note of these changes.

Archive Tax returns
It would be good if XPM automatically archived tax returns once assessed or maybe at a certain date, for example all 2022 tax returns archived when we are doing the 2023 year

XPM - Job Budgets easily seen under the Jobs tab
It would be great to see the budgets easily when we open the Jobs tab in XPM. This will help us have a quick glance at the budget for each job rather than opening each job in a new browser tab or generate a report.

Practice Manager - Stop costs/disbursements being added to a Closed Job
It would be great if they system would not allow disbursements/ costs to be added to closed jobs.
This can cause a lot of admin work when Xero fees are bulk imported to our clients accounts job but is then closed once the accounts have been completed. We have too ensure the job number is updated on the import each time we close a job as the system will allow bulk uploads. It would be great if an error code showed and did not allow this to occur.9 votes -
XPM - Prioritise Job List
In the job list screen, it would be great if you could either customise the "priority" so that jobs appear in the order that you need to complete them or if you could simply move them to the order that you would like to complete them in.

Practice Manager - 'Sticky Note' on client home page
To have a function that essentially works as a sticky note on the details page of the clients file. Although there is the notes function, it it easily lost within the multiple tabs, however if something was right there on the home screen for all to see it isn't as easily missed/ignored. It could be something simple like a staff member has been trying to get in touch with the client, or bringing attention to an address change, noting the preferred method for documents to be signed etc.

Practice Manager - Client Search History
Client Search History: being able to see the clients in XPM that you have searched for recently/previous 24hrs. When needing to go back to a client you recently searched and updated etc and need to go back into same client or cannot remember client name etc. Would have thought this would be 'standard feature' as in other progams we use

When sending an email to a client and cc @practicemanagerfiles.com it would be good if you could send to multiple job numbers.

Practice Manager - Staff permissions for PLS/ELS Management only
XPM Staff permission - Practice Administration Permissions: You shouldnot have to give a staff member access to the full business setting menu to be able let them access the PLS/ELS reports. There should be a PLS/ELS Management only permission.
I want a staff member to be able to access the PLS/ELS reports without being able to access other staff member information or having access to all my practice setting.

Xero Tax - Notify if client's Bank Account details are missing before filing
A section in Tax on XPM it notifies you that an ITR doesn't have bank account details entered before filing.

Practice Manager - Notes for each Client
I believe it would be very beneficial if there was an option to have an overall notes section for each column, and not just only a notes section for each specific return / activity statement. Rather this notes option would just be for the client as a whole, so the impotant notes could be stored here. It is easier to record previous discussions that may have been made about the client and their specific situations. This will make it much more accessible to see the whole history of the client with just one click.

Practice Manager - Audit trail for client history
Client History
It would be great to have a running record of client history in XPM, showing the date and person who, including but not limited to:
- created the client
- edited client details
- archived client
In a large firm over multiple offices, it would be easier to know who to contact if there are questions about details are entered into XPM, and keep XPM as a CRM up to date.70 votes -
Practice Manager - Show tax payment notices in client's Dashboard
In XPM, if we want to look at what tax payment notices we’ve sent to a client, we can’t see this by looking at the individual client’s dashboard. We need to go to the tax menu then search the client. It would be good if we could see it on the individual client’s dashboard as a section in the Tax Returns tab.

XPM - Insert a merge field/placeholder into Task description
It would be helpful to be able to insert a merge field such as 'Tax Year' into the description of a task. Handy when it comes to preparation of the invoice as not all returns are for the current year.
