  1. Needed: an option button in Xero Tax which switches the Accounts between FRS 102 and FRS 105.

    The majority of our Clients only require FRS105 Accounts to be submitted to Companies House but they all ask for FRS 102 Accounts to provide to their Bank or for applying for mortgages etc.

    We also want them to sign FRS102 Accounts since they have much more disclosure and if Clients simply see the FRS105 version of Accounts, they question the fee we charge them for such a small output (not realising the amount of work behind preparing them).

  2. It would be great to be able to move job costs to another job in a similar way that you can move time sheets. More often than not costs are captured on an incorrect job and it is a "pain" to delete this and then to re-capture on the correct job.

  4. It isn't possible to add a quantity column to a report, nor is it possible to pull through Qty data entered in Xero or create a cell the Qty can be manually typed into.

    You can add a note column but this would be to link to a section of the report pack, not a quantity loaded into Xero or a box we could manually type the quantity into. Further the notes section functionality is unable to be renamed and can only be linked to other reports in the report pack. It does not work to bring through Qty data.

  5. 1.Hubdoc can become very slow and mostly crashes when inputting the contact in the destination section.

    1. Hubdoc also slows when you use 'extracted tax rate' and 'generate line items' the box that comes up to input the data takes a while and then trying to scroll on the document with this box Infront it takes a while too

    2. I find that the when i generate line items I need to manually amend the tax rate on each line as its over calculated it by a few pennies and i am unable to do this

  6. We want to be able to report on any clients with outstanding balances at any point in time, and be able to action it before the ATO start calling us or the client to chase the debt.
    There is already a report on the ATO Portal – See attached screen shot. The report contains any AS’s that are overdue and also shows any clients debt/credit they may have on the ICA.
    We also want to be able to safely ignore any and all statements of account that the ATO spam us with because often, they issue a statement of account…

  7. At present the expense headings in the detailed profit and loss account in Xero tax are imported from, and are therefore the same as, the expense headings in Xero. Often clients have more nominal accounts (for management purposes) than one would wish to see in the detailed profit and loss. An ability to combine two or more Xero nominal accounts into one expense heading figure in Xero tax would be very useful.

Would it be possible to integrate a feature where the workpapers notify the user that there may be Xero accounts that have balances in the relevant year that have not pulled through to any of the workpapers being used (say for example because the report codes mapping for a new account has not been set up properly)?

  10. Currently there are several system notifications in Xero Workpapers however there is not one for when the partner has approved the workpaper pack. This should then send a notification back to the preparer/manager to let them know the job is right to be finalised.

    Hey community - just popping back in to re-open this idea 😊

    Our previous update confirmed this was possible for users in Australia, however the bulk of this group is based in the UK, where this feature is not available.

    As such, we'll be shifting this back to 'Submitted' to continue to collect votes around this feature in a UK Tax context.

  12. Ability to have separate and unlinked depreciation schedules available in Xero Tax a still print a depreciation report would be very useful. At times there is no requirement to link a depreciation schedule to a particular area with the tax return (it may not be relevant for the current year however is required in future years) or the schedules relates to two areas within the tax return. I have circumstances where rental assets has differing ownership percentages which causes a nightmare using the current depreciation processes.

  15. The option to have a draft automatically created when a recurring job is generated. Such as for GST and AIM.

  18. We need the ability to copy report layouts from one report type to another. For example I have customised my P&L report by grouping accounts under headings. It would be good to be able to copy the same layout to budgets etc without having to spend time customising the budget report to match.

  20. Would be great if we could update fields in one go for multiple entities across a group (similar to how the address field allows you to). For example, the Partner, Manager, Class, etc is generally the same across the group (how we use it), so it would be good if we could update these sections for everyone in the group in one go (even if we need to access one of the entity profiles, and from there it asks if we want to update the other entities as well).
