Custom report - Add formula rows for % percentages (e.g Gross/Net profit)
Custom Reports: It would be great to be able to add a formula row in the custom reports that can display as a percentage. For example GP% and NP%
Or just have the ability to add a GP% and NP% row.

Hi everyone, while we thank you all for your input on this idea here, with shifting priorities the planned work for formulas for % within reports has changed and this will not be picked up as soon as we originally hoped.
For now we'll move the status of this idea back to Submitted and share if there's any further progress. Please do keep feeding back and contributing to this idea if this is something you'd like to see.

It is very frustrating to not be able to work with custom date ranges and have total columns that can produce percentages. We reopened our business part way through our financial year after a development, have multiple departments that we track, but can't do a report that covers, as an example, Aug-Feb crossing 2 financial years and get the total to date figures that you can get for YTD. It is a simple functionality that is absolutely needed.

Can't believe this is still not available. It would be such a basic fix and these types of margin outputs are used every day

I use this on every report currently for a group of clients so having this in xero would save a lot of time.

Now April 2024 and still not clear that I can show a row of %s in a custom report in % format.
Why is Xero finding this difficult?

The ability to show a % symbol would be very helpful. I have to export a report to Excel to do this.

Since 2022 and still no percentage sign?

It would be so much better visually to be a %!

Percentages are pretty essential for meaningful reporting

I really just want to see the % sign, rather than the result as a decimal - this would be so useful

It would be really useful

Yes please to this, I can't believe that this isn't a function. Assumed that something so fundamental would be there as a standard option.

I vote for this as well. Even with the workaround, the Total column does not properly calculate these values so that would be need to be addressed.

Another vote for the percentage formula in a custom report please Xero.

Okay so I'm here looking to see if this function has been enabled + it appears that it hasn't yet. YES to adding this as a basic function from a management reporting POV.

With all the technology I can't for the life of me see why this very basic function is so impossible

This is a basic function we usually include in both management and annual financial statements, please action this soon
