    Hi team, this report has been split out from a previous one that requested the addition of both payroll and tracking summary reports to Report Templates. It's unlikely both these reports would be added at once, and it's good to track the interest in each.

    While we have just released a new Tracking Summary report in Xero this isn't something that's been added to Report Templates just yet, if there are any plans for this we'll let you know here. Thanks

  2. The NZ tax rate for a trust's income tax has changed in the 2025 tax year from 33% to 39% when the taxable income in the trust is $10,000 or more.
    At present we are not able to have a different formula in comparatives to the formula in current year, so a modification to the If( . . ) statement in the current annual accounts tax note cannot be made that would work for 2025 and comparatives.

    At the moment the only solution available per Xero Support is a custom line, with accounting staff manually entering the tax payable amount…

    Thanks for raising the idea with us here, community.

    Currently, there's no functionality in Xero to have a single row have two different formulas for each column, or have two columns appear when grouped. (Example, the 2024 column cannot be calculated with 33% tax if the formula for the row is calculated with 39%)

    Right now as Paul's noted 🙏, we'd recommend using a 'Custom' row in the Notes report and have the row heading be similar to 'Tax Payable (33% 2024, 39% 2025)'.

    In doing so, you'll then be able to manually input the figures into this section of the notes report after you click 'Update layout'.

    We don't have any immediate plans for developing this capability, but I want to assure you interest for this has been shared with our product team and we'll update you if there's any news.

  3. On the old Xero HQ staff page, you could click on the staff member, add clients, and then filter to client groups.

    With the new Xero HQ Staff page layout, this ability has been lost and it's vital for adding clients in bulk to particular office groups, particularly for our new starters.

    While there isn't a direct filter for account codes in Xero right now, you could potentially explore the option to use Contact groups or tracking categories to help sort clients in this report.

    We'll keep an eye on the interest on this idea here, and let you know if there are any updates.

  5. Client Insights - Ability to filter on GST registered / period please. This is so we identify the right clients to check if the bank account is reconciled and ready to review for GST filling.

  7. Client Insights is fantastic for showing client by client stats.
    How about providing a TOTAL for the entire client list or filtered list, so that you can see how each client compares to the selected "community" of clients

  9. In Xero HQ, it would be helpful if the "Manage Users" permission were optional for Admin staff—or if there were an additional permission level between "Admin" and "Standard," similar to QBO's "Standard - All Access" role where you can toggle on and off several higher permissions.

    We’d like certain staff members to have access to all Xero files and clients within our practice without the ability to add or remove users or administrators.   10. Allow for Bank Transfers between two different currency bank accounts via the Xero API.
    This is a fundamental and common use case for bank transfers, and is available within the product, but not available within the Xero API. Please make this available to your API users and business partners.

  11. Ability to export an invoice created in Xero business edition to a document pack.

    For example, if I prepare a BAS or tax return for a client and send it to them in a document pack along with my invoice, I have to export the invoice from Xero and save it, and then add it to the document pack.

    It would be beneficial if there was an option in the invoice screen to add the invoice to a document pack, similar to adding a completed tax return from Xero Tax to a document pack.

    Hi community, we appreciate hearing your interest around the reports that would be useful for you to use in Report Templates.

    We have decided to split the request for Payroll reports and the Tracking Summary report as it is unlikely these would both be added at once.

    You'll find the new idea for the Tracking Summary report across here and this one will remain centered around Payroll reports.

    We want to be honest that we don't have any plans at this stage for adding payroll reports to Report Templates. But, our product teams are aware of the interest surrounding this and we'll let you know if there is any progress on this idea.

  13. Have the ability to create more than one report style (colour and logo) so when you export to a 'Styled PDF' there are choices beyond 'no styling' and your default.

    Hi team, we appreciate interest in being able to create more customised layouts when it comes to the styling of the PDF's of your reports.

    Being upfront this isn't a feature we have immediate plans around but we'd like to keep tracking the interest from community around, through this idea.
