  1. A section in Tax on XPM it notifies you that an ITR doesn't have bank account details entered before filing.
    This will help solve the issue of filing tax returns with missing client bank accounts for refunds.

We have many individual clients who don't have a company or trust etc. Can there be a salutations field that can be used specifically for addressing them in invoices and tax letters that doesn't affect where they stand in the alphabetical order of things? If we update their display name, all of those clients would be under 'M' for Miss, Mrs, Ms or Mr rather that their first or last name which then throws reporting if you're looking for someone in particular in a list of people.   3. Xero Practice Manager Timesheet upload. We have staff that complete the same administrative tasks each day every week for up to 50 clients a day. Entering these times in XPM is extremely time consuming and the time spent rarely changes. It would be extremely useful to be able to import a timesheet template with set clients/tasks/times. Then they only have to make modifications to timesheets. This would reduce time entry burden by two or three hours per week.

  5. When using the group address update, for example, it does not register as a change to all group entities and thus does not push the change for all entities across to integrated programs (such as Xero and HowNow). It is only the individually changed client that gets updated. Can this be fixed so the group update also registers as an update for the rest of the group entities?

  6. It would be helpful to be able to insert a merge field such as 'Tax Year' into the description of a task. Handy when it comes to preparation of the invoice as not all returns are for the current year.

  8. Currently only able to raise progress job invoice in client. abilitiy to raise both progress and final invoice would be better than having to go to invoicing to raise final invoice.

  9. When using the report builder in XPM and going into the samples tab - there is a lot of reports and it can be quite overwhelming. Tags for types of reports / ways to search / filter the list would be a great addition for being able to work out the sample report that would be most beneficial to build out for my needs.

  10. Have logged this support query, which I also raised a number of years ago and cannot believe how this has not been fixed. Answer from support below:

    In XPM there is no first and last name field for contacts, rather it is just one box for the Name field. While in Xero there are two fields to put a contacts first and last name separately.

    So when a contact on a client syncs from XPM into Xero it is placed into the Last Name field as it recognises the name as one field. Currently, the only way to resolve this…

  13. New XPM Contacts that link to multiple clients shows archived contacts when search. This is confusion to know which contact to select when the client has archived entities, if use incorrect one then not using 1 main contact. Currently having to select each one till find the main contact with current contact info.
    Need to block out archived contacts from showing or atleast show a symbol against them so know not to select it.

  15. I'm looking for a report that shows me job workflow state changes. I'm sure XPM stores this data, but doesn't seem to report on it anywhere.

    Essentially, I'd like (for jobs that meet some search criteria, creation date or job name or whatever else):

    State changed date
    State changed from
    State changed to
    State changed by user

    This is effectively an audit trail on the progress of a job (or ideally, multiple jobs). The fact this can't currently be done (unless Xero Support has pointed me wrong, in which case please do correct me!) is mind blowing!

  18. The ability to view/ create Reoccurring jobs within the individual Client. at the moment its a very different setup to create Reoccurring jobs.
    Additionally the ability to convert a single job to a reoccurring job. Will make creating jobs much easier.

  19. It would be a great help if we could update status for a job as and when the timesheet is done.
    At the moment we go to each job and update the status at the end of the day. In my opinion this would save lot my time hovering around.
    I have attached a screenshot in pdf to better explain.
