    It would be nice if the software could search by a entity's registered business names or previously know entity names and it bring up the current company file.

    We are able to add previous names or business names to the custom fields under a company's profile, but unless you know all the names by memory it can be hard to match up clients when you receive correspondence address to the business name and no ABN is mentioned.

    Currently when this occurs we have to either search ABN lookup or ASIC register and trying to get relevant information we can…

    Hi community, thanks for sharing your interest through this idea. We recently announced the Xero Partner Hub at Xerocon. It encompasses many improvements for our partners to be able to move more efficiently and serve clients. One of the changes that accommodates part of the idea here is that you'll be able to search the Client list by a clients organisation name, or legal/trading name as mentioned on this related idea.

    We appreciate there may be some practices using custom fields for this data and we want to be open that custom fields will not be searchable from the Client list. We have another idea for searching custom fields that you can join and follow for updates. You can find out more about Xero Partner Hub from our website.

  2. Place of birth, like Director ID, is a field that is important for any individual clients who are company officeholders. Rather than having to keep this record in an external software, ideally we would have all the information about a client in one place, and as such, would appreciate a "PLACE OF BIRTH" field somewhere in the client record to facilitate this.

    Hi team, Xero Partner Hub was recently announced at Xerocon and will bring with it a whole heap of great changes we know our partners have been wanting to see. When building this, our team paid great attention to what our partners had been asking for in Product ideas and I'm pleased to share that within the new client experiences there will be a new field for Place of Birth on a Clients record. 😊 We appreciate your support through the product idea forums and will keep you updated as this rolls out.   3. When reviewing WIP for a client you can't see the title of each job without clicking in to it. Could we please make the job column wider so we can see what the job is without opening it.

    We're working on modernising the client record user interface(UI) and your idea here is being worked into this change.

    We'll first be making this available to our UK practices, with the aim of eventually expanding this to all regions. I'll be back to confirm as this starts to roll and give more detail of the change.

  4. Could we please get the ability to add columns to the client page in XPM? The ability to search or find at-a-glance the export code would save a lot of time.

    Bringing client experiences together from Xero HQ and Practice Manager you'll soon have an improved client layout, where you can customise your client list columns to see the data that'll help you manage your clients efficiently.

  5. Currently you cannot edit the DOB in a client record in XPM for individual clients you can only edit if you export the database and re import it. For GDPR reasons it is important that we can delete DOB when a client leaves the practice. Please make this field so it can be deleted if required

    Hi Katrina, we appreciate the desire for being able to easily update your client data without the need to export. I'm pleased to share that this'll soon be enabled with the Xero Partner Hub which will incorporate this and many other improvements we know our partners have been asking.

  6. There are client level fields for phone and fax numbers. We have not had a fax machine in the office for a number of years. and it would be more useful to have these fields nominated as landline and mobile numbers. Consideration would have to be given to how this meshes into FYIDocs and FuseSign as FuseSign has issues if the phone number field does not meet its defined parameters.

    Thanks for sharing the details that'll help you better manage clients in your practice. With the new clients experience within Xero Partner Hub you'll soon have new client fields including the ability to enter multiple email and phone numbers so you'll have a place to record client mobile along with other contact numbers.

    Xero Partner hub will be rolling out to partners in early 2026. You can register your interest for early access on our website now. We'll return to update when this is rolled out.

  7. Can we please customise client page on XPM to add a column for the Account Manager. We currently see the Client NAME, PH NUMBER, and ADDRESS. Can we please add Account Manager to the page?
    It would cut out a lot time when processing morning mail or directing phone calls from clients as this would mean we don't have to open the client file to see who they belong to.

We recently announced Xero Partner Hub at Xerocon, which will deliver many improvements that our customers have been asking for. This includes the ability to customise columns shown on your Client lists, so you can see the most valuable information to help you manage your clients.

  8. We need the ability to add multiple email addresses for a client. Not extra Contacts, but the main email address for a client. Currently you can only enter one email address, this is the address that tax payment letters (for example) are automatically sent to. However, some clients want these to go to more than one address. We have to keep a separate spread sheet and our Tax administrator needs to manually send tax payment letters to those clients.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate the support and feedback this idea has continued to receive, and the appetite for being able to add multiple addresses to a Clients record.

    As you may have seen or read from our recent Xerocon announcement we have some exciting changes coming for our partners with Xero Partner Hub.

    One of the big changes with this is unifying Client experiences and bringing them into one place - Meaning with Xero Partner Hub you'll have the ability to add multiple addresses for a client 😊

    We understand there's a secondary request within this idea to be able to tag an email for specific purposes and we want to be upfront that his won't be possible with the initial launch but our product team are aware and considering how we might develop Xero Partner Hub for this use overtime - We have created a separate idea that we'd…

  9. It would be helpful to merge clients in XPM where two accounts have been created (different names) and tax returns filed under each one. For example a client entered under their maiden name and married name who have filed tax returns. In our case a duplicate was accidently created when doing the return and we have no way to now shift the tax return to the correct and active client account in XPM.

    With the soon to come Xero Partner Hub we'll be bringing all your practice tools under one umbrella and improving your experience in managing and working with clients in your practice. With the combined experiences of Xero HQ and Practice Manager this'll include the ability to merge two clients into one, like you're after here 🙂

  10. It'd be extremely helpful to have a field available for any type of client where a registered business name can be recorded, and if the business name is searched in the client list, the entity that the business name is recorded against shows up.

    For example, if Joe Bloggs Pty Ltd owns the business name Bloggs Flowers, we could search for Bloggs Flowers in XPM and Joe Bloggs Pty Ltd would show up.

    Hi team, we want to share an update with you all here. As announced at Xerocon we have Xero Partner Hub which will combine all your practice tools into one experience. Along with the changes from the client list you will be able to add Organisation name and Legal/Trading name as columns which will be be searchable within the Client list.

    So, where a client's Xero org is connected this data will pull through to the list and you'll be able to search by the client name, organisation name or legal/trading name. Find out more and prepare for the Xero Partner Hub on our website.

    Hi everyone, we'd like to share an update on this idea with you all - As announced at Xerocon there are exciting changes coming for practices with Xero Partner Hub!

    With the Xero Partner Hub you'll have a unified client and staff experience. We'll be providing some additional Client detail fields including Date of Death for Individual / Sole Trader business structures.

    Xero Partner Hub is the new practice experiences bringing all your practice tools together in one place and will be launching to partners early 2026. This will include many improvements to clients like being able to create a group from within a clients record. 🙂

  13. Similar to ability to restrict access to Xero Tax, its critical if we can have the ability to restrict access to certain client details. Currently you can search for any client details and there is no way to restrict access to this information. This functionality would be extra help for partners & staff members who are also clients of the firm.

    We understand the varying levels of access different staff need can differ client-to-client.

    With the new client and staff permissions that'll be coming soon through the Xero Partner Hub, you'll get more control and granularity to assigning staff permissions to clients.

  14. Can we please customise client page on XPM to add EMAIL.. We currently see the Client NAME, PH NUMBER, and ADDRESS. Can we please add EMAIL to the page?
    It would cut out alot time opening each page if we had some flexibility to simply add the email address column on the first page.

    HI Sally, jumping back on your idea here our team are working on providing more flexibility to the info you view from Job Manager.

    Right now, we're developing columns for Staff, Manager and Partners. Around the same time we expect to deliver these additions, we'll also enable you to hide detail you'd prefer not to view. So, you can decide and only see the information relevant for you when viewing Jobs.
