Edit sales tax amounts manually
I would like to be able to edit the sales tax amounts. Sometimes there is no tax on some items and tax on others so the simplified tax calculation creates an inaccurate tax amount.

Good news! You actually have a lot of control over how sales tax is handled. You can choose different tax rates for each item on an invoice or bill, and even set the whole transaction to be Tax Inclusive or Tax Exclusive. If something's tax-free, you can just pick a 0% rate like 'Tax Free' or 'Zero Rated' so it's still included in your reports.
We have a bunch of helpful info on this in Xero Central. Check out the articles below for a deeper dive. If you're still stuck, you can always reach out to our support team for a hand.

Record a refund or return from a vendor
The ability to record a refund for purchases.
1 voteHi
Our usual suggestion for this would be to enter a supplier credit note for the amount that's being refunded.
You can then record a 'payment' against this credit note to the relevant bank account, and this creates the record of the money that's being refunded to you.
To finish, you can then reconcile the bank statement line for the refund, against the payment you recorded.
There's more info on the process in this article: Process a customer or supplier refund
