  1. Hi,
    It would be great to be able to pay contractors (who are paid Super) in Payroll and have an option for GST. I feel the Contractor payments aren't user friendly for most small business as they have subcontractors and contractors where only GST is added and no PAYG tax is deducted.

  2. Not a new idea however something that we should be aware of.
    The late claims button / tab on the new GST return will not show to look into transactions if the Net amount of the total late claims is Nil. This means that if a change is made from April date to March date in July period, when you look at the late claims in the June July return because the amount is netted as Nil they dont show. making it very hard to reconcile your End of Year GST back on workpapers.

  4. Can we have the ability to search for a transaction , by amount , payee or description across all bank accounts. Rather than having to go into each bank account and sort dates etc and than search. Having the option to choose all bank accounts, rather than an individual bank account would be awesome.

    Hi team, I wanted to share that the recent updates for the Reconcile page have now been released to all users. This includes a search bar at the top of the page and includes filters for date range and amount. This provides the ability to look up criteria of your statement lines and narrow down your search. 

    You'll also find you can now view more statement lines per page, with up to 50 at a time - You'll find more on this and other updates shared on our blog. 

    We appreciate the ask on this idea is a search across all statement lines, across all bank accounts. I want to confirm this is not something we have plans for developing at this stage, and I'll move this idea back to 'submitted' so we can continue to track and update you if there is any progress of this, here. 

  5. Invoices submitted by contractors - Xero should have a tick box where we can tick 'I need to pay super on this invoice' and it tracks and records contractor super owing.

  6. In the timesheets window, a button which takes you back to todays timesheet.

    I often have to scroll back, and prepare prior period timesheets, and so it would be handy to have a "today" button, which will automatically return you to the current days timesheet - rather than having to scroll forward (similar to handisoft practice manager).

  7. It would be helpful to be able to change the default wording in the Xero sign email and even select from various templates.

    Currently the default email is very generic and lacks the tone our practice uses.

  8. On the timesheet entry page, allow users to type keywords in the "Job" section and show search results.
    At present you have to click the dropdown, which lists all open jobs, and then find the job you are working on.

  9. As 'Blue Xero' supports a 'Not for Profit' organisation, it disappointing that an accompanying
    CT600 cannot be produced in Xero Tax for a charity.

  10. AUDIT CHECK FOR DIVIDENDS RWT AND IMPUTATION CREDITS IS TOO SENSITIVE - IT IS PICKING UP VERY SMALL ROUNDING AND ALERTING.
    Xero needs to allow for the "rounding" to be accepted - maybe expand the parameters. Unless we go into the return and round it up or down (which is a terrible waste of time) then the alert stays there, and we then get the scenario of anybody looking at the return wondering if there is an error and then they go and check - once again - a terrible waste of time.

  12. My firm works with additional bookkeepers, and we do not want to have their business or personal emails displayed in our clients files.

    Ideally, they would be behind the scenes and would just show our practice as connected.

    Next best would be showing first name or first and last name, but no email address.

    We can assign them an email address from our firm for a more professional appearance, but often their certifications follow their own business/personal email addresses.

  13. Some supplier invoices don't have a currency on them eg USD and Hubdoc enters the base currency of the organisation eg NZD - if you could assign a currency to a supplier, it would avoid having to manually change the currency on each invoice

  14. When clients have not provided the required receipts to complete bookkeeping, I always have to generate a list of expenses they need to support.
    Rather than going to the "Bank Statements" highlighting, copying, pasting unicode text to excel and filtering out "reconciled" items, I would like to just click an "export list" button from the "Reconcile" screen and have it generate the list of transactions remaining.

  15. I have clients who have 1 large monthly sales invoice, but can have up to 20 payments against it. Currently, you can only enter 1 payment at a time, and then have to save, close and go back into the invoice to set up the next payment.
    I would like to be able to save a payment and click "add another payment to this invoice" and just keep moving through it, to limit the number of clicks and be more efficient.

  16. The job budget is a key piece of information for all staff to have visibility. However the Budget field on a job is only visible if staff have Access Financial Data permissions. Giving Access Financial Data permissions allows staff to view and edit client billing details, edit practice subscription and export subscription. Surely, such wide ranging powers is not appropriate for ALL staff.

    Surely this permission should fall under the "Manage Jobs" permission matrix not under Finances permission matrix.

We would like to be able to comment on the tax payment and save the comment, rather than making the comment and having to approve and then unapprove the letter to get it back to waiting for approval. This would also be good for tax notices that we ignore, as we can put a note as to why we are ignoring them.

Its a suggestion to Xero team we need Tick option and select All option when we clearing the supplier invoices under allocate credit please do the needful in application it will be very helpfull for us to clear many invoices in one shot .this will save lot of time for us some supplier having 100's of invoices in month
