  1. When you try to add a new bank account to a contact, Xero only accepts numbers and hyphens in the field. Spaces are not accepted.

    All invoices issued by Xero have the issuer's bank account on the invoice formatted with separating spaces between the number blocks.

    So when entering a new contact, I can't just copy-paste the bank account number from the invoice that was created by Xero because the format of such number doesn't comply with the formatting in Xero contact section. Every time it has to be manually edited by all the thousands of Xero users.

  2. In the Chart of Accounts, are able to add a Reporting Name, being the name that will appear in the published Financial Statements, for all accounts other than Bank type accounts.
    Would be good to be able to add a Reporting Name on a Bank type account, as for the Client they want to see on their dashboard eg Expense Account - Business Unit so they know which bank account using, but in the Financial Statements want to show as "ASB Bank - Current Account".

  4. Can Hubdoc extract the invoice reference or job reference from an invoice and add that as a job tag. Would be very useful when the invoice is on-chargeable to a project, especially when there are multiple projects/jobs on the go. E.g. building industry type jobs.

  5. I have clients that perform their own bank reconciliation procedures. I believe these users need to have the user rights to publish that bank reconciliation report to archive it in Xero. More flexibility should be given to standard users ability to publish reports instead of the all or nothing approach.

    As it stands now I have to give them Advisor level user status in order to perform this very basic internal control procedure clients really need to be involved in. Xero user rights are over-simplfied in this area of concern.

  6. I would REALLY like the ability to edit the name of a previously published report. Currently users can not do that.

    My clients frequently publish reports using all sorts of goofy meaningless or confusing names. It takes time to drill into each one to see what the report is and whether it contains the relevant information I am looking for. Clients are frequently frantic and disorganized when it comes to accounting information. Since there are VERY limited document management tools available for published reports, being able to rename them in a consistent manner would be SUPER helpful in sorting and…

  7. I would REALLY like the ability to rename published reports. My clients that publish reports are terrible in naming them properly and are never consistent reflecting their frantic and disorganized nature when it comes to accounting. Since there is limited document management capability of published reports, at least let us rename them to make them easier to sort and find.

  13. We have customers who make monthly payments towards their invoices but also incur late fees (interest). It is exceptionally painful to have to remove all payments, add a late fee, then re-apply all payments. One or two is not so bad, but we have had customers make monthly payments for 2 years...now that is painful!

    My idea: allow invoice line items to be edited/added when there are payments applied.

  14. Clients are constantly having issues receiving notifications of their PAYG statement. The clients who do not receive a notification (neither do we for our client) are the clients who have the ATO channel as "ATO Online" listed in the Client Communication (on the ATO portal). I have been on the phone countless times with ATO about this "Channel" and it is concluded that this does not go anywhere. To stop this, we have had to manually update the client's communication preference to email, or call through to the ATO again and have it changed to paper.

  15. Xero have announced that they are removing the ability to automatically send batch files across to Kiwibank & ASB on 16th November, in order to "focus our efforts to support areas of Xero that provide the most value for customers."

    Speaking on behalf of my clients who actively use this feature, it's of huge value to them. It automates a process that otherwise involves manually downloading a file, logging into internet banking and uploading that file. It's even better for users who don't have internet banking access, but need to set up payment batches on behalf of those that do…

  18. Be able to set priority on recurring tasks. It's ridiculous having recurring jobs which you then have to set the priority every time it pops up, it makes setting the recurring job almost ridiculous.

  19. Could you make the app more user-friendly by reducing the need to log in every time or Ideally, Face ID should be an option for quick access.

    Also, when we receive invoices from Xero, could they be sent as PDF attachments rather than just links? This would make it easier to forward them to Hubdocs via email. Thanks!
