XPM - Missing Time
Help business owners and team leaders easily identify where staff have submitted time for a week that is less than their capacity. That could be something on the dashboard or a report. XPM currently allows a staff member timesheet to be submitted without any warning that it is below the capacity amount. I shouldn't need to manually review and compare to the different capacity hours for full time and part time staff.

XPM - Timesheets Quick Keyboard shortcuts
Per the attached screenshots, it would significantly increase efficiency to be able to use quick keyboard shortcuts when entering timesheets. Specifically the + and SAVE buttons, as almost everything else can be entered using the keyboard alone.

Hubdoc - Capture supplier reference when posting Xero invoice
have supplier inv reference picked up in hubdoc and posted through to xero so xero can show in supplier reconciliations . so supplier canrecognise our ledger . also avoid hours trying to cross refer supplier invoice reference queries to the associated hubdoc unless obvious by date

Reports realign periods oldest to newest
For Xero reports when running comparisons, the data is listed from left to right as newest perido to oldest.
I have been an accountant for over 20 years, and nearly all other softwares show these reports as oldest to newest from left to right.
Was wondering if there could be a button to just switch this around.

NZ Tax - Reports Codes to Populate Trust Account Disclosures in Tax Return
Can we use the Reports Codes from Xero to populate Trust Accounts Disclosures in Tax Return. Just the same way as is done for the IR10.

Hubdoc - Delete Button
Naturally, when emailing in invoices and receipts, we end up with extraneous items in the Docs Pane on the left hand side. To delete these, we currently only have a small 'delete' button in the far top right corner, followed by a confirmation message in the centre of the screen.
It'd be great if the UI was updated to have either:
- a delete button closer to the Docs Pane on the left hand side
- some right click functionality, to allow us to delete documents
- some keyboard shortcuts to allow us to process these items much quickerI…

Practice Manager - Keep user signed in when moving between the 'Clients' & 'Jobs' tabs
We are finding staff are regularly being logged out of XPM when they move between the 'Clients' tab & the 'Jobs' tab. When this happens it asks staff to log back in, but we are finding it is taking them to random different areas of XPM instead of back to where they were. i.e Setting up a new organisation page, in the middle of a client file etc. This appears to be a basic functionality issue that needs to be fixed.

Financial reports - Do not remove date fields in notes when using "Edit layout"
In the last financial year, we made multiple and significant layout changes to the accounting schedules in our financial notes.
Therefore, we intend to 'Copy and Edit' most of our financial reports. However, we have found that when you 'edit layout' it removes the date field codes in our numbered notes regardless of if you edit the number notes or not - therefore losing it's auto updating feature.
As a result, we are now having to manually update the year in all of our financials, or start from scratch.

XPM - Bulk email update of a client
Currently we can update a clients physical/postal address and then update all those relevant in the group using the pop up 'Update relevant client addresses'. It would be so helpful and save time to be able to do this for the EMAIL address of a client.

Automation of Dates in Company Minutes
I’d like to suggest adding an automated feature for populating dates in the Company Minutes, using the reporting date as a reference. This would eliminate the need to manually update dates throughout the document, saving time and reducing errors.

Xero Tax (AU) | Include Company PAYG instalment as part of the return

XPM - Connect Microsoft Outlook for client sync
I have just learned that XPM does not connect to Outlook and thus Client data is not synced. I thought this would be the most important information to sync with outlook, Afterall clients are who accountants communicate with most.

AU Tax - Cover Letter Template to include Spousal Tax Information
The Cover Letter shows the Taxable income and refundable/payable amount, can it also then include spousal tax return information so we can send one cover letter for two tax returns.

Xero HQ | AU Payroll - STP Finalisation Status report
Please add a column in Xero HQ, not unlike "unreconciled items" that notes the STP status of connected Xero organisations. Options to flag in this column are "STP 2 not setup", "[Year] Finalisation outstanding".

AU Tax - Copy or Dummy group certificate
I still have lots of staff asking to see a Group Certificate, especially if they have not put their tax in for a few years. It would be great if we could generate a "dummy" group certificate for the staff member, after the end of financial year. It give them the info they want immediately and adds professionalism to our company if we can provide what they need.

AU Tax - Bulk create tax returns
Every year we have to manually create tax returns for each client - would be great if the client is listed as an existing client on both XPM and ATO that XPM can bulk create the tax returns for that relevant year run. This would cut down a lot of admin time.

XPM - Comment field in Job Manager view
I love the new Job Manager view where you can hide or show columns as you need. I would LOVE a column for comments. For example say a job is waiting for a client to send a particular document I'd love to be able to add that in that view. Or maybe that field could show the latest note made in that job. It woudl save us having to click into the job to see what was holding it up.
46 votesHi community, thanks for your input in this idea. A comment field in Job Manager is something that our product team would like to explore, however there are other items that need their attention at this time.
For now, we'll move this back to submitted, and will update when there are any further changes to share on this with you all, here.

default bank account in e-invoicing
Have the ability to set a default bank account for e-invoicing for clients to pay into
When an e-invoice is sent, it asks for the bank account to show on the invoice which takes time & there is a risk of selecting the wrong bank account.
