  2. Have a separation of Client Edit privileges to allow practice staff to edit Contacts, Groups, and Relationships without having full edit access (e.g. will not be able to edit client address, email address, Agent, etc)

  3. It is not currently possible to use Report Fields in a group heading in reports.

    We spend time setting up shareholder and director names in Report Fields but they can only be used in text blocks, not group headings in reports. If we could use Report Fields in group headings we could make report templates, such as the schedule of shareholder current accounts, more dynamic and automatic. See the screenshot attached for an example.

  4. Invoices issued from XPM need to have the ability to have payment services so that clients can click on a Pay Now button and pay the invoice immediately in order to:
    - improve cashflow by collecting monies as soon as possible
    - remove the need to push invoices into blue xero to gain access to Pay Now functionality
    - remove double handling of invoices that practice staff originate in XPM and then operations staff have to issue from blue Xero. Practice staff should be able to manage practice invoices without having to involve operations staff.

  6. Hello,

    I would like for Xero to automatically calculate the VAT returns accurately when switching from a VAT scheme to another. Currently, we need to manually adjust the returns to avoid any duplications caused by the transition. There is room for a lot of human error when doing this and I believe this feature is extremely important.

  8. It doesn't make sense that these are part of the same privilege checkbox.
    Marking something as Approved is something that a senior person (manager/partner) is responsible for.
    Marking something as Out to Sign is something that an administration person is responsible for.
    Options are:
    Give the admin person the privilege and they can approve something they shouldn't be able to (risk to firm).
    Not give the admin the privilege and the manager has to log back into Xero Tax to mark it as out to sign after the admin person has packaged it up and sent it out (waste of…

  9. The entire workpapers function is inefficient and burdensome. It would be much better to have packs carry forward when creating new packs so that you don't have to add all the notes and work papers back each time. When you roll a work paper pack, having to check & uncheck all the irrelevant sections is a waste of time that would also be alleviated by just being able to roll the prior period pack. The ability to use excel sheets with linked data to the accounts in Xero would be greatly beneficial. Another aggravating and time consuming issue is not…

  11. Debit card transactions are not needed to be reported on 1099s. When using bank feeds in checking accounts it does not distinguish debit card vs check. I suggest there be a option to identify debit card vs checks so the debit card activity is not automatically added the the 1099 reporting.

  12. It would be great to have tasks within jobs (XPM) link to Xero Blue's item codes so that when importing bulk invoices, they can be allocated to a specific task/item code. This will allow for easy reporting both in XPM/Xero Blue.

    Otherwise, it would be great to have an option to allocate a task to invoices in Xero Blue that links back to the relevant task in XPM, similarly to the way the Reference field works for jobs.

  13. I believe there should be an option to run a report which shows which tax returns / activity statements have been amended and lodged as a revised version for your whole client database. Without this, there is no current way of knowing the amount of revised returns / activity statements that you have lodged which can be a problem.

  15. It would be hugely helpful if we could add rules under supplier settings in hubdoc much like the bank rules in Xero. E.G. Client has a home office and I want to split the electricity bill 33% to Power and 67% to Drawings. Number 1 - I won't have to try and remember what the percentage for each client is as they vary and number 2 - I would be able to use the automated function to Publish to Xero.

  16. Have logged this support query, which I also raised a number of years ago and cannot believe how this has not been fixed. Answer from support below:

    In XPM there is no first and last name field for contacts, rather it is just one box for the Name field. While in Xero there are two fields to put a contacts first and last name separately.

    So when a contact on a client syncs from XPM into Xero it is placed into the Last Name field as it recognises the name as one field. Currently, the only way to resolve this…

    Thanks for raising as an idea here, Inna. While it's not possible to delete a tax agents logo atm you could upload a blank white picture as the logo where you'd like to remove the existing. 

    We don't have any direct plans around this atm, but we'll get a sense of the interest here and let you know if there's any progress.

  18. In the Transfers screen, Need a filter option on the Return State column to save having to move from page to page of results to find all the Assessed ones (even after having sorted by that column)

  20. Hi,
    In tax returns for clients that have a business schedule in their ITR, when an asset is fully depreciated, in the following year it disappears from the tax return and depreciation schedule altogether.

    Is there a way assets can remain on the depreciation schedule? It is very handy to have a full depreciation schedule for all assets, particularly if clients sell assets in the following years.
