Workpapers - Allow Document button to be used in Archived workpapers to see documents for that account
So annoying to open an archived workpaper pack, want to check a document that was attached to an account and you can't! Have to scroll down and find it amongst all of the attached documents from that whole workpaper. Nightmare!

XPM - Add customisable productivity reports
Productivity Reports
I am using report builder to create a productivity report for my staff. What i would like to show on the report is:
Capcity reducing time + billable time + non-billable time = total time for week
I would then like a productivity percentage calculated as billable time / (billable + non-billable).
I would also like this report to have a YTD actual column and YTD budget column so that on one report I can see how productivity as been for the most recent week but also YTD on the on the report.
This will then tell me…

NZ Tax - Include GST tax type for tax statements report
It would be useful if in the Tax Statements reporting data set, we could also see GST statement data (currently only Income Tax and SLS show) so that we can check for unpaid GST balances.

Since my last update as some may have seen we have announced a new plan Xero Simple designed to support non VAT registered sole traders and landlords, as they prepare for the next phase of Making Tax Digital. And, that MTD IT will be available for all Xero business plans - see more on my update here.
While we understand the desire from small businesses in Xero Tax for the UK, our intention is for this to remain a Partner only feature. We'd highly recommend connecting with a Xero adviser if this is a tool you'd like to make use of.

XPM - Merge clients
It would be helpful to merge clients in XPM where two accounts have been created (different names) and tax returns filed under each one. For example a client entered under their maiden name and married name who have filed tax returns. In our case a duplicate was accidently created when doing the return and we have no way to now shift the tax return to the correct and active client account in XPM.

Multi-currency - Remove currency
Remove a currecy added in error and never used, which makes reports more complicated than need be (Source AND GBP in every Transaction report, implying we are multicurrency when we never have been)

XPM | Client - Business Name field
It'd be extremely helpful to have a field available for any type of client where a registered business name can be recorded, and if the business name is searched in the client list, the entity that the business name is recorded against shows up.
For example, if Joe Bloggs Pty Ltd owns the business name Bloggs Flowers, we could search for Bloggs Flowers in XPM and Joe Bloggs Pty Ltd would show up.
3 votesHi team, we want to share an update with you all here. As announced at Xerocon we have Xero Partner Hub which will combine all your practice tools into one experience. Along with the changes from the client list you will be able to add Organisation name and Legal/Trading name as columns which will be be searchable within the Client list.
So, where a client's Xero org is connected this data will pull through to the list and you'll be able to search by the client name, organisation name or legal/trading name. Find out more and prepare for the Xero Partner Hub on our website.

Practice manager - XPM to Xero contact fields
Have logged this support query, which I also raised a number of years ago and cannot believe how this has not been fixed. Answer from support below:
In XPM there is no first and last name field for contacts, rather it is just one box for the Name field. While in Xero there are two fields to put a contacts first and last name separately.
So when a contact on a client syncs from XPM into Xero it is placed into the Last Name field as it recognises the name as one field. Currently, the only way to resolve this…
22 votesHi everyone, thanks for sharing your appetite in this idea. You may have seen some of the improvements coming with Xero Partner Hub soon as we unify the client and staff experiences across practice tools.
We want to be open that there are no changes planned for syncing contacts from Xero blue into Xero Partner Hub at this stage but we'll continue to keep a close eye on the interest here and share if any plans are made.

UK Payroll: Additional pension pay items to be included in Pension Filings.
Enable User Created Pay items to feed data into Pension filings and payroll expense journals. Currently, any additional pension pay items that aren't created by Xero automatically won't pull through to the pension file. The same happens for re-imbursements

Xero HQ - Move the "Go to Xero" button to the left of the client's name
Home page or landing page -- can you put the "go to xero" button on the left of the client's name? The new page makes it so I have to scroll so far to the right to get to those buttons, that I no longer know which client is on which line of the table. It is harder to log in and go directly to my client's books now.

BAS - Update button on Activity Statement
I have recently started switching clients to the New BAS Experience - Full BAS.
I run the Activity Statement and export it so I can check the "Transactions by Tax Rate" and make changes.
I have noticed that when I click back on the "Summary" tab, the report does not automatically update (it does under previous BAS experience) and there is also no "Update" or "Refresh" button.
The only way to get the report to update is to hit the refresh on the web browser.
This is another case of removing functionality.

Document Packs - Send me a copy of the email
Be able to see the email body of the document pack that was sent or alternatively a copy of the document pack sent to the staff member who sent it to the client so that there is a record of what the email body contained.
