  1. Similar to ability to restrict access to Xero Tax, its critical if we can have the ability to restrict access to certain client details. Currently you can search for any client details and there is no way to restrict access to this information. This functionality would be extra help for partners & staff members who are also clients of the firm.

  2. Suggestion for development - We continually have problems with WFF transfers to associated entities. We have tried phoning IRD to put a halt on the account, then follow up with secure mail advising what transfers are required - however more often than not the halt is not implemented correctly. Would be great if Xero could implement something (even a tick box identifying transfers required) that would then trigger at IRD for them to hold funds pending transfer. Alternatively the WFF credit could be added into the tax returns, and transfers done via the return. (I have worked with other tax…

  3. Can you please add a tool for importing Bank Transfers to the conversion Toolbox. When there are more than two bank accounts, trying to work out the Bank account to transfer to, is a bit hit and miss, causing significant rework.

  8. In the XPM report builder, when a firm is working as a team based client and each team composed of several staff. It would be beneficial to have the option to include additional fields of the job manager and partner in the invoice report. Currently, we are only able to select the manager and partner at the client level.

    If this feature were added, it would enable the accurate generation of reports for each staff member who completes a job and track better if each staff has a KPI of a particular budget that he/she needs to reach each month.

  9. Ability to put in manual tax estimate adjustments, such as prior liabilities on tax accounts so clients can see total owed. It can show estimate for return, then show the adjustments.
    Also ability to adjust for amended returns to show the actual amount refunded or owing after amendment calculations.

  12. AU Tax - Error notifications. When a return is rejected by the ATO and appears in the Error tab of the Returns section of Xero Tax, an email should be triggered to alert the tax agent so that the error can be rectified immediately.

    Totally understand how notifications of errors can improve efficiency and handling of returns in Xero Tax (AU). Thanks for all your input and sharing on this idea, everyone.

    While we have a few pieces of work underway atm, this is something our team are looking to develop. We're going to move this to Under Review and as we have more info and progress we'll return to share this with you all, here. 🙂

  13. It would be really good if when the accounts and corporation tax return have been sent out for digital signature to a client that there was a send receipt with a date and time stamp to show its been sent to the client with details of what email address it was sent to. When sending out lots of requests over various different clients it is easy to forget if you have sent the signature requests out.

  14. From what I understand is common in a lot of firms is when a client leaves/dies/etc their client profile is archived in XPM and the data persists into infinity.

    Given the latest high profile data breaches is would be good if XPM had a Housekeeping module where firms could identify archived clients where the attached Personally Identifiable Information (In particular TFN, Bank account, phone/mobile and addresses) is no longer needed and permanently remove it in a structured process.

    A similar process may need to be created for the forms that we generate from XPM so they they are permanently removed…

  15. Primary issue:
    If the Accounting Firm wants to maintain control over a client's records and Xero integrations, then only one person can be the one that creates every client in HubDoc.

    Workaround proposed - and the related issue:
    - We were advised to create a dummy account for HubDoc to create the client files. This results in having to share a password - changing it frequently with staff changes.
    - This also is not feasible due to the 2-Factor Authorization requirements
    - This also creates a massive privacy breach risk for unauthorized access under PIPEDA (Canada) and PIPA (Alberta)

  16. The ability to customer the Totals line of the Annual Reports so that they have the top line and Bottom Double line along with the figures having a $ sign. It doesn't right to just have the figure without the finishing touches.

    Hi community, thanks for your support and sharing in the idea here. Diving into your comments, there are a few different ideas that we're picking up on within this one thread;

    1. ability to change the email address/contact of a sent pack
    2. ability to add additional documents to a sent pack, and
    3. the ability to edit metadata of a sent pack

    For the first, we'd like to better understand what is driving the need to change the email address?  is it down to a typo when entering it? or if its on a tax return, is it wrong on the client record etc?

    Although it's not possible to add additional documents to a pack right now, creating and sending a new document pack is essentially the same - Is there any reason this isn't suitable?

    Lastly, it'd be good to get more substance of how the ability to rename a pack…

  18. Reporting on XPM - I need to run a report from XPM that shows me ALL our clients who haven't had a job booked in yet showing the name "2023" so I can then chase them for checklists.

    I can't see how to run a report that shows this. I really don't want to have to run multiple reports and compare things off - with over 1200 clients this takes an awful long time.

    There has to be a simpler way.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate everyone who signed up and participated in the teams discovery here. Right now, focus has needed to shift to other high priority work.

    We value all the input and feedback we've received from the teams discovery, and based on this they found that there is more work needed in solving this for our customers.

    We have good foundations to build from when we are able to bring attention back to this. For now we will move back to submitted and let you know when there is progression to share.
