  1. It would be so much better to be able to publish a GST return with the ability to alphabetically list the Account names so all transactions can be presented grouped by the same account code. Then the client can easily review their audit report and identify transactions in the wrong account code.

  2. It would be great if we had the ability to create our own groups within the staff screen in Xero HQ. At the moment we have filters for standard, administrator, master administrator and then also staff that have been invited but not yet accepted.

    It would be useful if we could create our own custom staff groups. For example by office location: London, Glasgow, Manchester etc. or by function within the business: Accounts, Audit, Tax etc.

    Staff could belong to different groups as well, Glasgow and Audit or London and Tax.

  3. Currently, there’s no functionality in Xero Practice Manager to edit job names in bulk. This would be an extremely useful function for us. For example, we have a large number of Client Services jobs which need updating and without a bulk update function we need to do this manually, job by job which takes far too long.

  4. Just a simple one, but it has something I've spoken to many Xero account managers over the years.

    When preparing a tax return, you currently see an amount payable or amount refundable in text, and the dollar amount in bold black next to it.

    I feel that it would be a simple, yet positive change, to have the dollar value display in green when there is an amount refundable, or red when there is an amount payable.   5. We noticed last provisional tax letters that we sent out to clients had the date the amounts were approved.

    We usually approve before and e-mail/post letters closer to time.

    Is there a way the date can be changed on the Provisional tax letter to the day its getting e-mailed to client?

  8. Enable a Bank account to be created when the Chart of Accounts we have created in HQ is imported. Currently, this is not possible. All Bank accounts in the COA need to be changed to Current Assets, and then in the newly created Xero Blue organisation file, the "Bank" accounts have to be deleted and created again! Very annoying. The overall process is great, but this is annoying. We have many bank accounts in our various standard chart of accounts. I want to include the bank accounts so that my staff know the account numbers to use when they set…

  9. When the ATO rejects a submission (where the return does not need to be edited), we have to unlock the return. This removes it from the document pack, and the client gets notified.
    This a terrible customer experience, when we just need to relodge. Example being tax returns lodged on 15 May.

  10. Ability to hide more sensitive data from staff.

    I have an employee who works overseas. Currently I think we can only hide the TFN details but it would be good to also be able to hide date of birth, address and now Director ID details.

    They do not need to see all of the sensitive data when preparing tax returns so it would be good to have some options of what data we can hide from employees.

  12. When we send out an Activity Statement, a tax return, an fbt return, etc... is it possible to CC another contact? (one that isn't required to e-sign but is required to see the return and payment information and just be kept in the loop in general)

  13. Currently you cannot submit a purchase order in Hubdoc, there is no "publish as" option.
    It would be good if it was an option and have it flow/link with purchase orders in Xero, to which then can flow into Approvalmax to be approved.
    Currently it requires an employee to access another system which would be good to limit.

  14. XeroTax currently cannot produce accounts where the company has a IP registered number. It would appear that the only change needed to do these accounts is to recognise the different registered number format.

  15. It would be nice to be able to store all emails re a client that a NOT job specific under a Client Tab.
    We are able to do for Jobs which is neat but to enable us to store general emails under the client would be good. I guess they would need a unique email address just like the job storage of emails? We have tab for Jobs, Documents etc so one for emails with an address would be nice.

  17. In XPM, there is a subtotal of all the amounts of each task in the fixed price column. It would be handy to show a subtotal of all amounts for each task in the calculated column. This would allow you to see, at a glance, the write up/down for the invoice.

  18. Have a workpaper for motor vehicle private use adjustments with calculators for FBT, logbook, and mileage reimbursement. Be able to have more than one like the home office workpaper does. And have this roll forward like the home office one does so that you can see the method used by the client and the FBT/logbook values etc.

  19. When changing organisations, it would be great to see more than five.

    Suggest you show them all so we can scroll until we find the one one want, not just rely on using the search to type in the name of the organisation, if it doesn't appear in the current list of five

  20. Only one contact in XPM can be a 'Primary' contact so our correspondence pulls through only the salutation for that contact, however the entity may be a partnership, trust or company and need more than one person included. This means we need to manually add any other salutations, which is not ideal and leaves room for error. The option to add multiple 'Primary' contacts would solve this issue.
