Widget - Recent Invoice Payments.
Show payment value from customer rather than individual invoices. Recent Payment Received would be more helpful than 5 x £10 from Bloggs & Co

profit and loss
Profit and Loss widget needs to be able to switch between cash and accrual as per the app.
I also believe a GST payable could be another small widget so that business can see daily/weekly/monthly/qtr how much they should put aside for gst liability. As i constantly put this account onto the watched accounts dashboard for all clients and I know others do also.

Show when GST returns are due on the homepage with balance owed
Show when the next GSTreturn is due on the homepage along with the balanced owed and when. The UK Xero has this function, make it available to NZ!!

Expenses have disappeared in new Homepage, not an option to add a widget for it, why take it away?
Why is Xero making it so hard to do expenses for SME's in their system. Each account on the home page now has an added line "View Account Transactions".
This takes up more room - and therefore we see less accounts at a glance.

Simplify and automate worksafe remuneration reporting. This shouldn't be as painful as it is. Especially difficult when needing to deduct non reportable wages for apprentices , or part thereof when they begin or end apprenticeships midway through a financial year.

Quicker/easier to see total of upcoming bills needing payment
In the "Bills to Pay" widget, include the bills "Awaiting Approval" $value at the top of the widget, in bigger font, so it's more visible

Cash In & Cash Out (Widget)
The Cash In & Cash Out tab could benefit from the ability to determine if the cash in OR cash out is from P&L items or Balance Sheet Items.
For instance if a large cash injection occurred from the director you'd have a large cash in, which wouldnt match the profit. In contrast, a payment of liabilities for tax/gst may impact cash flow and skew the results for cash out.
The suggestion would be for a stacked/filtered view on the IN and the OUT bars, to either display the stacked cash in (on top of each other), for P&L and…

Restore page after finishing a session.
At the moment if not all tasks have been completed in a work day, opening up the browser window again from where you left off will log you out. When you log in again, you are diverted to the homepage with no way of clicking back to go back to the page you were on. This is a massive waste of time, please allow us to restore our tabs which had things like custom reports and other things we started working on.

1 voteHi Skubi, I know it's not directly on the Homepage but it sounds like the Expenses by contact report might do the trick of what you're after here? If you save as custom with your filters then favourite the report you'll be able to quickly access this anytime from the Reports dropdown menu and can click into the details of your report to open and copy a bill.

Make invoices to pay & bills boxes smaller these are the two functions I use most & now have to scroll down every time i want to use them
1 voteHi Emma, just want to highlight that you can Edit the Homepage to customise where on the screen each widget is shown. So, if you wanted you could place the Invoices owed to you, and Bills to pay widget right at the top so these are always shown first. Does this help at all?

Ease of use
It would be great if the recent clients worked on would remain in the dropdown field when selecting clients, instead of having to search. Right now only Demo company appears. I am uncertain why this has been done.

Need the new home page VAT staus to link directly to HMRC VAT to renew connection as on old versio
VAT status in home page needs to link to HMRC to renew link as on old version. For reasons I don't understand the link does frequesntly need renewing. I had to switch back to old version to do this today.

Add "View All Quotes" button to invoice widget.
Many of our customers require a quote before issuing us with a purchase order. The fastest way is to copy a previous quote, and to edit as required to create a new quote. If we could click on a button from the homepage rather than bring up Quotes from the sales list, it would save us much time.
