Saving time and effort.
Allow task shortcut tabs across the top bar for regular actions. Make these editable and moveable like you have with the new homepage. ie: a shortcut to "create invoice", or any of the many varied tasks that individuals may or may not use.

As I work with 12 bank accounts, it would probably look better if the tiles were slightly smaller. The balances are also too visible. If we need to open Xero while someone is nearby, the bank balances can be clearly seen, which is not ideal.
I prefer having the tiles side by side as in the new layout rather than stacked vertically. That way I can see everything at a glance without having to scroll up and down. I removed the unnecessary widgets and left only the bank accounts.

Add a blank widget and sections to enable home page to be laid out as user needs
The new homepage card layout doesn't allow user to organise cards how they want, it's just dumb auto stacking the cards. Blank cards and section dividers will help a lot.

Have quick buttons for - New Invoice, New Bill, New Quote, New Statement
Have a drop down choice for which aspects of Xero the user wants as a quick button.
Simply touch button and you go immediateley to that choice

Make it more functional and easier to overview everything in one place
I think you need a clearer boarder around each tile as they all merge together, having 3 in a row is super cluttered and I like to keep all my bank accounts down 1 side as I have many and I can't do that anymore they keep jumping over onto the second column and it's super frustrating. I also really liked the little line graph of income for each bank account that you had before as it helped me to see if my account was getting low and needed topping up. I think it should be possible to have 2…

Have a number widget styles
Have a number of widget styles. Even two to start with; old and new. The old style was more compact and a lot of people seem to prefer this. So once you turn the old homepage off please allow us to use the old style of widget.

Please please not again! This layout is sooo busy, way too much entropy on the page that our brains cannot deal with
Same trap that happened with the "new invoicing", way too much information and not neatly ordered.
There is a relationship between page entropy and the efficiency at which our brains can process information.
This page should be structured, not two columns one time and three the next. We want to do our work, and that is not arranging and re-arranging home pages.And why is there advertising on the page?
We are paying to use Xero, please contain yourselves and don't push distracting advertising on us when we are working.

Will make the benefit of overviews for each asspect of the Homepage be much more visable and fewer clicks to get to Settings for exampe
I wish to suggest a possible benefit would be to have bubble buttons to the Sales Overview, Bills Overview, Payroll Overview , Reports Overview ( including Superannuation) ,an Accounts Overview and even banking Overview and a Settings shortcut bubble button. Just above all the widgets displayed to keep it quick and simple . I realise some of these overviews are yet to done, WIP at present.
This approach may make the Homepage dashboard less important, however it will make the program more functional (imo)

Reconciliation process for multiple accounts
I manage multiple accounts and need to be able to display more than 50 on the Home Page - when you take into account all the bank accounts and credit cards we operate. This was allowable on the old Home Page but now alot of our accounts have been cut off. Really not ideal as makes it harder to find and complete reconciliations. Home Page is way to cluttered and messy - needs to be more streamlined as per the old Home Page.

Custom logo branding in upper left hand corner
Return custom logo branding to the upper left hand corner on the home page. Why remove this? Detracts from and depersonalises the interface. Removing features like this diminishes the experience.

Can you please add the bank logo back on to the bank accounts - We have multiple accounts with different banks and it is was an easy 'quick glance' way to see how different sections of the business was tracking.

Ability to change font for the bank balances.
I agree with everyone that the new homepage is extremely busy and distracting. I also find the huge font used for the bank balances shouting. I work in an open plan and it is not appropriate for everyone to see the money in the bank. Please add an option to resize the fonts and the widgets themselves. Overall, I do not find this update useful.

I agree the new layout is too busy. It should allow you to delete off the parts you don't require. Not being able to just go down the page is really odd. I've moved to use the the 'Bank Accounts' tab under Accounting

This is bad design on top of bad design
As many others have said the homepage was fine the way it was. The new layout is cluttered and hard to follow (especially for us neurodiverse people). If that wasn't bad enough it is once again full of advertising.. We pay you monthly subs. It is unfair and to also force us to use adverts. It is your job to help us as businesses, not to change things for the sake of it then tell us "it's great this way" when clearly, it's not!
Please allow us to choose between the new and old layouts. If that choice isn't available…
