Home page - Add Tasks and reminders to take action on
Tasks. We would love to be able to manually add a task or reminder so that the next time we logged into a clients Xero we can see the reminder to check or do something.
Hi team, as you may have seen from our Designer Jen's message this idea is in discovery with the team now doing some testing on early concepts.
We'd love to have your input as part of this and if you'd like to take part we invite you to fill in this quick survey. 📝
While we may not be able to invite everyone into these sessions our team will be in touch over the next few weeks.
I'll be sure to share any further updates on tyhis with you all here. Thanks!

A fabulous idea!
Simple reminders, 'to do', follow ups, set deadlines.... for teams, single users, advisors to clients... possibilities would be endless
customisation would be key for this feature to be really valuable

I love the idea of tasks and think Xero could take advantage here,
- GST return to submit.
- Payroll to process.
The idea of the custom/ reoccurring text, is great. -

I would like to set and track deadline dates on the dashboard for each client relating to statutory and other submissions (i.e. provisional tax / monthly management reports / tax return submissions / etc.).

Allow businesses to adapt their Xero Dashboard with "Widgets" such as reminders of submission dates for next payroll run, CIS submission, VAT Return etc. Also show current outstanding values for net pay, CIS & PAYE/NIC payments, VAT payment/refund.

The current warnings of approaching and especially passed deadlines for tax filings, tax payments etc look to me to be very low key and as a consequence I have missed deadlines despite checking in every day. Such warnigns need to be more prominent as default on Dashboard. Larger organised users may not wish this for approaching deadlines so perhaps an option for the current "low key" warnings, but presumably everyone wants to know if they have missed a deadline.
