   Attachments
   Notes
   Workpaper metadata

   Appreciate your interest in extending API support to new Workpapers, Jessica. We have a separate Xero Developer ideas forum that's best to raise these ideas through, where there are experts that can properly review, consider and keep you updated. 2. Issues with attachments and notes in New Workpapers

   We’ve found the following issues in New Workpapers:

   1. Attachments can’t be opened

   Image files with non-English filenames: If an uploaded image’s filename contains non-English characters (e.g. Chinese), the image can’t be opened.
   Word documents: No uploaded Word document (e.g. .docx) can be opened, whatever its filename.

   In both cases this error appears:

   404 - File or directory not found.
   The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

   1. No download option for individual files

   There’s no way to download a single attachment. Users have no other way to get to a file when it won’t open in the browser.

   1. Non-English notes are blank on export

   When notes are written in a non-English language (e.g. Chinese), they come out blank when the workpaper is exported.

   We’ve found the following issues in New Workpapers:

   Hi Alvin, appreciate the feedback however it's best for our Xero Support team to investigate when something doesn't appear to be working as it should - which this sounds like.

   If you can reach out and share the same screenshot and any additional information about the steps you're taking when you run into this issue and potentially an example of a file that you have received this error with they can take a closer look into things with you directly.
