Quote - Ability to have quote reminder
Add feature to automatically follow up on quotes / send quote reminder *days before expiry or *days after quote issued — as there is with invoices. This feature comes standard with most other quoting interfaces.
Hi community, we understand how being able to send quote reminders like you can for invoices, would help with following up on uncommitted work with your customers and potentially locking in sales.
For the time being, as many will be aware you can resend a quote that’s already been sent, by clicking the 3 dot menu in the top right and choosing ‘Send’, where you’ll have the option to change the email and who it’s being addressed to.
This is something we have intentions of diving into discovery for this year and I’ll return to share more news when things progress. Thanks

Xero is just coasting. There are so many simple ideas that users keep asking for and most of the time nobody from Xero even bothers to update us. This idea would be dead simple to implement, and yet we have been pleading for it for close to 2 years. It's the same with every other idea I follow. If Xero expects us to get these features through 3rd party extensions that sucks, but they could at least tell us.

Just following up on this to see if it ever became a thing... We would love to have a quote reminder that reminds them the expiry date is coming up. We do so many quotes a day that it becomes difficult to follow up with all of them

Would definitely be helpful. Can quotes also have a different return email to invoices?? Eg. replies to quote go to the sales team email, replies to invoices go to accounts email?

When i follow up on a quote the client may not be ready to make a decision on the spot, so i record our conversation in the add note feature. if I'm to follow up at a later date i have to schedule it in my calendar. it would be great if you could schedule a follow up call from the add note feature that flags it when the call is due.

I have waited many years for the quotes system to be improved but finally bit the bullet in Nov 23 and invested in a quoting software that works with Xero; we chose Quotient.
The integration works, not perfectly in every respect, but overall it has resolved most of the issues we faced. I don't think Xero have any appetite for sorting quotes out and I wish I'd made this decision sooner.

we require the ability to send follow up emails for quotes not accepted. We know it provides the service for invoices can it for quotes? This is an important functionality and would help growth.

We need to monitor sent quotes and follow them up with ease, so an automated quote reminder feature would help with this.

With 997 views to date and 334 votes as this being critical functionality I wrote to the Chief Product Officer at Xero twice: Diya.Jolly@xero.com requesting this. I saw my email was read, but received no response. Quite disappointed. This would bring in a lot of extra revenue for businesses. I wish they would hire someone for that role with actual experience in running their own business.
