Sales Invoice - Show associated Project name on the invoice

Currently, while raising the invoice, it is not possible to show the project names in the invoice above the works done. The works indicated in the invoice should be linked to the project and this project name should be shown in the invoice.

Thanks for your continual support and engagement here, we want to apologise it's taken so long for us to respond.

You’ve explained the need in displaying the related Project name on an invoice clearly and your feedback here is really helpful.

While we don’t currently have this work roadmapped, our product team's looking more broadly at how invoices can include richer information. This idea will be part of that consideration as the work develops.

Though we can’t commit to development of projects on invoices at this stage, we wanted to acknowledge the feedback here and let you know we will make more efforts to share any updates on this idea as that broader work progresses.

    If xero doesn't have this option, then I can't use xero it's that critical for me. One of my main clients has a really particular structure for invoicing, I need to customise the invoice to add details like:

    PROJECT TITLE:
    PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
    PURCHASE ORDER:
    JOB NO:
    SUPPLY DATE:
    INVOICE NUMBER:

    I'm going to put this in caps for visibility. THIS FEATURE WAS PREVIOUSLY AVAILABLE, I WAS USING IT FOR OVER A YEAR BEFORE IT WAS REMOVED IN A RECENT UPDATE. The project name is the only place I can list the purchase order number which matches with my client's system; as such I now have dozens of invoices going unpaid because there is no longer a correlation with their system. Why was this removed? It needs to be added back ASAP.

    Free open source options for small businesses continue to develop. Lots web hosting companies support templates to deliver these free to use software solutions. Click and run without server admin or command to type… Xero wish to sell the solution not add it for free!

    We need this feature so that we can more clearly bill to specific purchase orders. Please implement project name on invoices.

    Displaying Project Name on invoicing is crucial. Please make the Project name field available for our custom invoice templates.

    Are there plans to add a field showing the project name on invoices? This is really important to my clients and would make sense. In the meatime I will create a manual work-around for this issue.

    My clients and I identify all invoices by project name. When and how can we implement this? I need project names to show on invoices, and I also want it to show next to each invoice in the invoice menu.

    Hi, I notice it does appear when you chose the project amount option as an invoice. But it doesn't when you select task.

    This seems like a bit of an oversight not having the job number name printing on an invoice, it would save alot of time if it did.

    Is there a time line for this being available?
