Credit notes - Tick box to allocate full amount
Instead of tying in the amounts, what about adding a tick box next to the value where you can select the full amount shown and only if a lesser amount is to be used then have to type in the value.
Thanks so much for sharing this feedback 🙂 I can completely see why this would make for better processing we are now moving this to Gaining Support so the product team can capture the impact and visibility of the experience. You can invite friends and colleagues to vote and comment on this so our Product team can see how this improvement would positively impact our customers.

Instead of inserting the credit amount manually, to have a tick box that you can just tick the invoice that the credit has to be applied to. Similar to Sage One where you can just drag the credit to the invoice instead of entering it manually to each invoices. A tick box would be so ideal to just tick it.

Tick boxes to allocate payment on account against multiple invoices. This automatically completes the field for you. e.g. ÂŁ100 credit available - i can go to allocate it and the bills to set it against are listed (as now) but rather than me typing in multiple amounts on each line, i tick a box & it automatically completes that line and moves onto the next reducing the available credot or overpayment as i go. Was one of the best options in Sage & I really miss it. F9 auto filled fields with the full amount.

When allocating credits on account to a bill, it would be usedul to be able to select a button next to each payment o accept the credit in full, rather than having to type out the amount every time even if the full amount is being accepted.

The “Allocate Credit Balance” screen when applying supplier credit notes to bills is confusing and misleading.
The “Amount to Credit” input fields appear inactive because there is no cursor change, highlight, or visual focus indicator when hovering or clicking into the fields. This makes users believe the fields are disabled.
Additionally, the checkbox on the left suggests it must be selected before entering an amount, but it does not actually control allocation behaviour. This creates confusion during supplier reconciliation workflows.
This resulted in unnecessary troubleshooting time and could easily be improved with clearer input focus styling or better checkbox behaviour.
Improving this screen would significantly enhance usability during supplier credit note allocation.

This would be a great idea. In addition, there could be a "master tick box" at the top to select ALL invoices for credit, or even an option to allocate based on FIFO or LIFO dates.
Current system is very time consuming, especially for large number of invoices that needs credit allocating.Xero is all about productivity, so this would enhance Xero's value to their user for sure !

When applying credits to invoices currently you have to allocate by typing out the amount for each invoice it is in relation to. Is there any chance that a tick box could be created to save time. As this can be a long process to allocate multiple invoices

The ability to hit the F9 button (or similar) as in Sage, to automatically fill the amount in the 'amount to credit' field, without having to type values in manually
