Thanks for your input here, everyone. Our team is currently looking into adding a document merge feature into their roadmap. However, no dates are planned for when this will be implemented.

That said, we’ll move the status of the idea into ‘Under review’, so please continue to add your vote and give us your comment on how this feature can improve your workflow.

For now, you can merge your documents outside Hubdoc, then upload/email it into Hubdoc. Feel free to also share some options here on how you merge the documents before you put it into Hubdoc.

Hello everyone, we want to let you know that we’ve recently released the ability to convert PDF bank statements into pre-formatted CSV files in Xero (Read more on our blog for more information).

Currently, this feature is only available in the US and Canada. We know this tool will also be valuable to other regions and we'll be sure to update you with any new information about it becoming available globally.

For now, we’ll move the status of this idea to ‘Under review’. So keep voting and give us your input on how this feature can benefit your workflow!

    Hi everyone

We wanted to provide you an update on our progress for this idea as it’s very much something we want to make easier for you all. The feedback you’ve provided so far has been helpful. One of the big problems our Product team identified in this thread and in other customer research is how hard it is for customers to navigate their statement lines to gain a holistic view of the work they need to do and complete their work flows efficiently.

I’m pleased to share that they’re in the early stages of developing a solution that will help to improve this experience by combining a search tool with an increased number of statement lines being returned to the page.

The product team has a working concept and are looking to validate this with some customers before working out the final details. If you’re interested in participating, please

Great functionality for the minority that use the app, please sort the bank reconciliation experience for the majority of bookkeepers who log in via the browser, we need to see more statement lines, be able to filter, match credit notes, create bank rules for overpayments, cash coding bulk reconciliation of bank transfers amongst other feature requests we are crying out for!

Come on Xero developers team, this can't be so difficult!!!

I agree with many others that options for number of transactions as in the other screens would perhaps work well for most.

Clicking through pages looking for specific transactions to match is painstaking when you have a high volume to work through, as bookkeepers we like to clear all the items with matches and then chip away at the rest, being able to filter/sort anything with a match would be a huge leap forward.

Also the ability to filter out transactions really would be a game changer, whilst items can be sorted in the cash coding screen, this doesn't work particularly well with POS payments where the date precedes the supplier name. To be able to filter out all the transactions for one supplier using a keyword (as you can in the bank statement tab) but with the ability to be able to reconcile them would be amazing!

I agree entirely, I thought that would be a natural progression when they gave us the toggle for compact view!

Hi team, further on from our last update we are extending the ability to automatically record Xero subscription invoices in your organisation to UK customers via einvoicing.
As a first cut if you have registered for einvoicing, you'll be able to edit your billing contact to select to 'Receive Xero subscription bills as einvoices where you'll need to enter your businesses VAT. Over the following months we'll be building on the experience so you can eventually choose this option from the online invoice itself. We'll keep you updated of progress for this, here.

    Hi everyone

To follow on from Kelly’s last update, the Product team have made a lot of headway in the 'building on beautiful' work which has prepared the platform to more easily build features solving customer problems, like the ones identified in this thread.

I’m pleased to share that we’re in the early stages of developing a solution that combines increasing the number of statement lines being returned to the page and a search and filter across all of your statement lines.

The product team has a working concept and are looking to validate this with some customers before working out the final details. If you’re interested in participating, please register your interest here. Given the popularity of this idea we expect spaces to fill up fast. Update: we have since closed the form as we have enough interest. We also want to make sure we test…

Come on pleeeease Xero - sort out the fundamental basics with the day to day stuff for the bookkeepers!!

Cash coding & reconcile tabs: we need the ability to search and filter out transactions the way we can with statement & transactions view to help us speed up the time spent reconciling bulk items. The sort option in cash coding currently leaves a lot to be desired!

Also it's about time we have the ability to find & match credit notes from the reconciliation screen.

Being able to filter transactions with a bank match or rule would be awesome too!

Thanks for all the attention and support this idea has collected, everyone. While we've made improvements to some of the screens in Bank Rules, we're still considering where others changes could be made, and it's helpful to see the traction on this idea.

With the new Bank Rules list view you'll find that you can now Search making it a little easier to group and manage your rules from within Xero. We're also enhancing the suggestions and auto matching when you reconcile which overtime will help to decrease the amount of rules a business may need.

We understand how being able to export rules would add another level to managing rules outside of Xero, and importing of rules would ease setups and we'll keep this idea front of mind and re-evaluate the interest when resource frees up to consider additional features.

The ability to bulk reconcile bank transfer rules form the cash coding screen

I have an E-Commerce client that has 'managed payment' bank accounts for eBay, Amazon, PayPal etc. with a high volume of bank transfers on a daily basis to & from the current account, whilst rules are essential, being able to bulk reconcile via cash coding would be a game changer!

Hi community, first off thank you for the continued interest and feedback surrounding this idea. We’re continuing to build on the bank reconciliation experience in Xero and recognise the ways this feature will help improve the efficiency, flexibility and transparency of transactions in your business. Our team have done a lot of exploration into being able to surface and match Credit Notes when reconciling your bank account in Xero, and this is now in development.

We’ll shift the idea here into ‘Working on it’ and continue to update as there’s more detail of this to share.

Ability to include credit notes when posting batch payments, and also to be able to select credit notes when using find & match in bank reconciliation, rather than having to manually allocate them to an invoice
