Invoicing - Ability to add multiple contacts or party details to sales invoices
Xero currently allows one primary customer/contact on an invoice, but many maintenance businesses work with multiple parties on the same job.
A common example is a rental property maintenance workflow:
Bill To: Rental agency / property management company
Property Owner: Landlord / client
Tenant: Occupant of the property
Service Address: The physical address where the work was completed
Rep / Technician: The staff member or contractor who attended the job
At the moment, users often have to manually type these details into the invoice description or create custom workarounds, which makes invoices inconsistent and difficult to manage.
Suggested Feature:
Add dedicated fields on invoices for:
Bill To (customer)
Property Owner
Tenant Name
Service Address
Rep / Technician Name
Job Reference / Work Order Number
These fields should be available on both quotes and invoices and be optional depending on the business type.
Thanks for sharing this idea, Jeanne-Mari. The ability to add multiple parties to an invoice could be useful for businesses where billing involves several stakeholders.
I’ve moved this post to Gaining Support so we can continue gathering feedback. If this were available, what details would you want to include and where?

Good day Xero,
Thank you for considering this idea.
I would want the following dedicated, optional fields on both Quotes and Invoices:
* Bill To / Customer – the party responsible for payment
* Property Owner – ideally selectable from Xero Contacts
* Tenant Name – ideally selectable from Xero Contacts
* Service Address – separate from the customer’s billing address
* Rep / Technician – the person who completed the work
* Job Reference / Work Order NumberFor example:
Bill To: ABC Property Management
Property Owner: John Smith
Tenant: Jane Smith
Service Address: 123 Main Road
Job Reference: WO-45821
Technician: Mike JonesThe key would be having these as dedicated fields rather than manually typing everything into the invoice description. Ideally, the relevant people could be selected from existing Xero Contacts, making the information consistent, searchable and easier to manage.
I would also make these fields optional and configurable within invoice and quote templates. Users should be able to select which fields they want displayed and deselect or hide any fields that aren’t relevant to their business.
For example, a property maintenance business could choose to display Property Owner, Tenant, Service Address, Technician and Job Reference, while another business may only need the Job Reference.
This would make the feature flexible across different industries and keep invoices and quotes clean and relevant.
Thank you again for considering the suggestion. I think this would be a really valuable addition to Xero, especially for service-based and property-related businesses.
