Invoice template - Ability to move payee address
Please give us more control over the layout of the so-called “new improved Invoice layout” . I would like to rename Tax Invoice to Invoice, delete the bold and enlarged font of the top Amount Due so that it does not look as if we are shouting at the customer, remove one of the Amount Due entries as there are now 5 which is overkill! And most importantly I need to have the ability to move the payee address within the page as it now does not fit in standard window envelopes.
This new layout should have been optional with the previous layout still available while you worked out the problems via end user feedback.

Thanks for highlighting this improvement. We understand the request for flexibility to move the contact address on invoices, rather than having this position fixed.

In the new layout of invoices, in the new updated format, invoices that need to be printed out to post to customers, do not fit in the window of envelopes now and the email and phone number of the customer is too close to the address, which would be visible through the window if I was able to fold the invoice in a way for it to be shown in the window of the envelope.
So therefore, the new layout is not compatible with window faced envelopes. Which we use often for older customers who do not have computers or email addresses. And prefer the mail option. And they look very messy and so hard to follow from what they used to be. There was nothing wrong with the way they were set out so why change it to something that is very hard to follow and not practical to have a QR code on the actual invoice..
So, an adjustment might be needed to have the addresses separated from the customers personal details and put in another area of the invoice to be more compatible with window faced envelopes. And to make it a lot easier to follow and read without it being so bold.The statements are still able to be posted, at the moment though.

This is another example of Xero going backwards in terms of the technology, and it is so evident in the unprofessional layout that looks like a learner back in the 1980's created! Unfortunately, this is so bad that it makes our businesses look bad too.
Once again, implemented before people who use this software were consulted, with no going back. One of our staff commented that it looks like an AI generated document....
