  1. Xero users need more flexibility when choosing which bank accounts customers must pay in. Majority companies have more than 1 bank account, but there is no easy way to specify per invoice which bank account the customer must pay in besides changing the company settings back and forth. Give Xero users the option when invoicing to select via a drop down (for example) which business account this customer must pay in.

  2. I'd love for my staff to be able to login into xero to create invoices and quotes, and send them without being able to see the rest of the business accounts. Or has this been developed and can be done?

  3. The Problem:
    When a customer pays more than the invoice total due to tips or card surcharges, Xero’s Add Payment screen forces any amount over the invoice total to be treated as an overpayment/credit, not as intentional extra income. This prevents me from allocating the excess directly to specific income accounts (e.g., Qualified Tips or Card Processing Fee Income) at the time of payment. As a result, I have to use multi‑step workarounds (separate Receive Money and Spend Money entries, later adjustments once bank feeds arrive) just to reflect a single real‑world payment event: invoice amount + tip/surcharge − merchant…

  4. Xero really needs the ability to select all, or at least select multiple lines at once. In a group monthly invoice, it can take over an hour to delete or edit lines individually.
    It would also be a major improvement to allow grouping of identical line items—so that all quantities for the same item appear under a single line, instead of generating hundreds of separate lines for the same thing

  5. Currently if an invoice comes through to XPM via Xero Blue it can sometimes come in as a Misc. Invoice in XPM and not be allocated to a job. To correct this we need to delete the Invoice in XPM, edit the Xero Blue invoice and add some spaces and "dots ...". Then wait until XPM and Xero re-sync overnight.

    Can we have the ability to manually add a job number to a Misc Invoice in XPM?

  9. Allow original pdf invoice to be attached to invoice email and subsequent reminders to clients.

    We use Hubdoc to import invoice details to Xero. but currently one of the crucial fields (description of service) isn't imported automatically - we'd have to copy and paste each of these into the description field and even then it's not obvious to the client what the invoice is for.
    It would be ideal if the original pdf could be sent out from Xero as an attachment to the original invoice email and subsequent reminder emails.

    Hi Jadé, when you say sales representative can I just check how is this information currently being entered in Xero? For example have you set up a tracking category to track the sales representative, or would you be wanting this information from the user that created the invoice? Will be helpful when sharing your feedback with the team.

  11. Is it possible to display the amount of GST, not the percentage of GST? We have a department who wants to see on the invoice .....
    Cost before GST, amount of GST-not percentage then total, all on the one line.

  14. Add native integration between Xero and Zoho Invoice (FREE): Custom templates

    "Many small and medium businesses use a combination of Xero for core accounting and Zoho Invoice (FREE) for invoicing, custom templates, client portal features, and payment links. A native Xero–Zoho Invoice integration would streamline workflows and eliminate duplication of effort."

  15. I wanted to share some feedback regarding the invoice templates. Currently, invoices always display individual item prices, which makes it difficult for businesses like ours that offer package or bundled services. It would be very helpful to have an option to show only the overall package price or total cost, without displaying each item individually.

    This feature would improve clarity for our clients and streamline the invoicing process for businesses that work with bundled pricing.

  16. INVOICE REMINDER EMAIL ADDRESS SAVED PER INVOICE - Enable invoice reminder emails to be captured and stored on a per-invoice basis, rather than reverting to the main contact.

    For organisations with global customers, invoice recipients often vary by region, project, or business unit. In our organisation, a single customer can have multiple valid invoice contacts depending on the specific project.

    Currently, reminder emails default back to the primary contact, forcing users to manually re-enter or amend the email address each time. This is inefficient, error-prone, and very labour-intensive at scale.

  18. The clients that I provide services to seek as supporting documentation a timesheet that has been signed off by an authorised representative of the client. At the moment I use an excel spreadsheet to do this then manually generate an invoice on the total agreed hours. It woud awesome to have feature where you prepare a timesheet in xero, xero sends a link to the approver to sign the timesheet then xero pulls the hours into a invoice + any agreed expenses (with supporting invoices and signed off timesheet)

  20. Currently, when you raise an invoice in a foreign currency it will take the exchange rate as of that hour. If you later change the due date of the invoice, the exchange rate used to convert will change from the hour you raised the invoice, to the closing exchange rate on that day. This causes an issue for reporting where we have reported a revenue figure for a previous month. The invoice on a due date has been changed and therefore the revenue recognised in a previous month has changed. This makes our reports incorrect and could cause issues if…
