  1. Addition option of show customer statement "actual" outstanding instead "as at" date.
    Eg, Our customer ABC need us to furnish a Outstanding statement that as at 30 June 2023, and there is 4 invoice unpaid. Happen that 15 July 2023the customer pay the 3 invoices only. Customer request us to send the statement show the 1 unpaid invoice dated 30 June 2023 but it still shows 4 outstanding, how can we show the the one unpaid invoice in the statement.

    Ideal additional option of show date 30.6.23 and show the one 1 unpaid invoice only. Kindly advice.

  2. To have a column of back orders/negative items within the Sales Invoices.

    Purpose: Users can easily enter back ordered items rather than doing extra steps of adding 1 more item in their inventory.

    Hi all, as we develop our purchase order and inventory experience our customers feedback has been highly valuable to unpick the painpoints that we can solve for - thank you for your contributions in these forums.

    Development for working with negative inventory is well underway and we look forward to updating you again soon with more detaols of how this all works in Xero closer to it's release 😊

  3. Invoice branding is only possible using Microsoft. Would it be possible to make this happen using Google OS also?
    I know there are hundreds of millions of Google users worldwide many of which will be Xero users since your software is excellent software.

  6. Dear Sir/Madam,

    When I download custom xero template it has «PaymentImage» code.
    I would like to upload my own image different from Payment Service image to the bottom of the standard invoice same as logo, then I will not need to use a custom PDF template.

    Could you add this option?

    PDF invoices are not convenient as it requires invoice to have Sent status to print PDF. And no quick preview availiable, so no option to preview custom invoice prior sending it.
    I don't need saving every preview PDF invoice perhaps it can just open in a new tab without…

  7. We need to be able to create a service docket via the Mobile app so that service crew can create and issue a service/delivery docket to customers when they are out doing the service. The packing slip option is not available apparently and, besides, its not the right name for what we do.

  8. The 'new invoicing' option automatically removes any leading carriage returns and leading spaces in the invoice description field.
    This did not occur in the classic version and wonder why it was introduced.
    To enable the details of the invoice to be easily read, it is sometimes necessary to separate line items on the invoice and to indent the actual description.
    Can this 'feature' be removed?

  11. Document reference number could be modified & next number is shown is recommended.
    Eg.
    - Invoice number could be customised into "INV yymm-***", same goes to payment, receipt, credit note so on.
    - to shown next number under the reference number.

  12. Just an idea that might help a lot of businesses.
    We generate a lot of invoices over the span of one month, the feature of bank rules are amazing, but ineffective if the payment is a overpayment.

    I would like to have a way for Xero to have a Global setting to auto allocate overpayments to the oldest invoice for customers.

    Currently overpayments will go to the customer account and just lay there until manually allocated to an invoice.

    With bank rules it will automate the process by adding payments as overpayments to the customer account and then auto allocating…

  13. Please enable the Microsoft Word function SKIPIF for use in docx invoice templates. Currently, we can use the "IF" function in customized invoices to skip item records according to its ItemCode, but as noted by another user in the Microsoft Office discussion, a blank row will still appear for records that meet the filter test.   14. The repeating invoices that go to draft should have an option of saving for the next repeating invoice for that client. If you dont edit the invoice before it goes to draft eg: to increase an annual charge, then it does not save for the next time that repeating invoice comes up. Either that or give an option for a repeating invoice that has been delited to repeat again.

    Hi community,

    I wanted to let you know that the product and tech team have been following this thread and have been listening to your interest in the functionality. We do understand the frustration it’s causing when dealing with a large number of invoices awaiting payment. Your time is valuable, and the challenges you’ve encountered are not reflective of the seamless experience we aim to provide.

    However, we are not able to build everything at once. And as a global business with many requests for our different regions and needs, when it comes to payments, we are prioritizing first improving the online invoicing experience to allow more payers to pay online. That is the most critical functionality as we know those using online payments, get paid faster. There are still some critical needs here.

    HI team, while it's not possible to include links to all outstanding invoices when sending a statement I did want to make sure you're aware of the option to include a link to Outstanding bills when emailing an invoice to customer. 

    From this link your customer will be able to see a total and the individual invoices they have outstanding to pay with you - more on this here

  18. Currently eInvoicing attaches the user's email address to an eInvoice. So that we can centralise how we track our invoicing, we would like to change this to our generic email address xyz@entity rather than name@entity. It would be great if there was a drop down button added to eInvoicing to make this change.

  19. In due date fields (and why not other fields), allow Excel formulae with invoice fields as variables into the formula to drive the default value. The existing constant value is a valid excel formula so would be backward compatible.

  20. Currently, when creating an invoice, the payment terms dropdown gives you the following options:
    - Today
    - 7 days
    - 14 days
    - EOM +1
    - EOM +20
    - end of next month
    I would like to customise this list; the Australian government has recently brought in payment standards of 5 days if sent by e-invoice and 20 days if not, for all invoices sent to all non-corporate Commonwealth entities (including Defence) and neither of those are amongst the standard options.
