  2. New Invoicing - Type in Item - please change back to only searching start of field, as per old invoicing.
    Now that typing in the Item field in the new invoicing brings up every item with that word or part word in anywhere, we either need to learn all the codes, or make sure our items all contain totally different words. It takes ages to find the item required.

  3. Can we please have the ability to set up daily repeating invoices - currently the only option is weekly or monthly. I can't find an easy work around so far.

  4. What happend -
    I imported invoices with an invalid account number. When I went to review the imported invoices in draft, the new invoicing AI technology selected suggested account codes for me, almost to fast for me to notice the account code was blank

    Why this is important -
    The "review draft invoices after import" step is critical in getting it right - I should be able to review exactly what I imported to see where the mistakes are. I can see this being an issue with integrations where invoices are imported via the API

  5. When Xero are emailing out their invoices please can you go back to attaching the invoices as a pdf as it quicker to be able to forward them rather than having to sign in and save them as draft, especially when you are having to do loads for clients.

    Thanks for sharing back on this, everyone. We'd like to confirm the way the options works now when sending in new invoicing - This is triggered by previous behaviour.

    So, when you send using new invoicing, the selection for 'Attach PDF' is driven by the last invoice you sent. If the last selection was unticked the next invoice you send will automatically be unticked, and vice versa.

    What's worth noting is that this is a browser based setting. For example if you change computers or browsers your setting will revert to default where both options are unticked. As you'll see from my recent update on this similar idea this is something we may explore further down the line but we don't have any immediate changed planned for.

  6. On classic invoicing, when you click the account category space or the tracking category it would fill in from the contact default, or account default or some default. But on new invoicing it only fills in if you tab.

    Thanks for the added detail, Becky. This is good to know when sharing back with the team. While this may be something we look closer at down the line, I want to be open that we don't have direct change planned in the near term.

    Understand it's a few more clicks at present, potentially to save tabbing 8 time clicking on the Tax Rate column and then tabbing once may save a little time atm. Completely get it's not a resolve though.

    Account Team - Is it possible that this would be when you're copying an invoice to a new draft invoice? If so, and you select the same Contact defaults aren't automatically applied and you'd need to remove and re-add the contact on the new draft invoice to trigger defaults to be applied. Otherwise, I'd recommend raising a case with our team of specialists for a closer look as…

  7. Put the paid date on the Invoices screen. It would be really nice to have the paid date showing so I wouldn't have to click on the invoice to see when it was paid.

  8. Currently there is no discount field on the credit note form which creates a fundamental flaw in the xero system. If you look at the attached invoice report you will notice that all credit note entries have no amounts in the discount column even though they all have discount. This overstates the discount amount when you calculate the total discounts because there are no discount credit amounts to correct the discount. We recommend adding a discount section to the credit notes form to correct this as the report is incorrect without this.

  9. New Invoicing - have the document name of invoice include who it is from.

    PDF will show INV-02335OrangeCross.pdf

  10. Being able to access supplier invoices using the link in the email. Currently we can only access the invoice related to the email. When trying to view other outstanding invoices, I get the message that I don't have permission to view that page and to have my access upgraded even though I have full access (bar subscriber). It would be great to be able to, as a bookkeeper, access other outstanding invoices. A lot of clients will use the link, see that they can access the other invoices, and not see an issue.

  11. In new invoicing the drop down issue date is today or tomorrow. I suspect "Yesterday" and "end of last month" would be helpful for lots of businesses who bill the day or month after a job is finished.

  12. Link to Invoices on Custom Statements

    Xero recently added a link to Invoices on the Standard Statement. Thank you! However, this is only helpful if you're using the Standard statement. We would like to be able to add the Invoice link on Custom statements as well.

It would be really useful to be able to have a column in the 'awaiting payment' section where you can mark the group (i.e. Direct Debit) so when you're setting up Telleroo payments / batch payments, you can easily see which one's are Direct Debit suppliers without either running a payables report or clicking into the supplier to see which group they belong to

  15. Is it possible to move the delete button away from approve button in Sales Overview.
    When approving invoices, have too be very careful with delete button right beside approve.

  16. In New Invoicing can the Date field be left blank when in draft status as per previously. Regularly I create draft invoices and want to continue to be able to leave the date blank or to put tentative dates in before moving forwards int he process.

  17. I raise invoices for clients who provide services to government departments and have project managers involved. This requires me to send an invoice to the accounts department who may have einvoicing and to the project manager who does not have access to the financial software and therefore requires a copy of the invoice which also confirms to them that the invoice has been submitted to accounts. Would it be possible to have another option when preparing an invoice to Approve, Send (as an e-invoice) and Email all in one process?

    Interesting to here your feedback here, and would be good to get a wider sense of customers that have similar scenario here. We don't have any plans for adding this option atm, but we'll update you here if anything changes. Thanks

  18. Payment information on invoices updates automatically from information held in the payment services section of Xero. Except, using the .DOCX templates, they don't update automatically your business's bank account details.

    Scenario - you accept invoice payments direct to your business bank account. Those details are included in the invoice template. You change your bank account details. You have to update each and every invoice template you have to show the new bank account details. However, if you change your Stripe payment information for example, that information is automatically updated in your templates. Why the different treatment?

  19. Repeating Monthly Invoices:

    Can we have a feature where monthly invoices have the ability to automatically calculate the days in that month based on the date in the "next invoice date". Therefore it doesn't need to be manually changed. Eg Monthly repeating invoice. next Invoice date - 1 November 2024. Qty - 30
