Quotes - Remove Deleted Quotes from the All list
Quotes that have been Deleted are marked as Deleted but continue to be displayed in the Sales Overviews. There is no need to continue to display deleted items in the Overviews. They should be removed.

Being quite different features within Xero it's not likely that a change in one would be reflected in the other area at the same time. We will continue to track interest in removing quotes from the all list here and share if there are any updates.

Quotes - Save default Title and Summary for quotes
Would be great to be able to save a default, or even multiple templates, for the Quote TITLE and SUMMARY. We are currently retyping or copy+pasting common quote titles and descriptions for every single quote. Most of our quotes have the same title and a similar description, that could be built into a template or default text if you'd add that feature.
8 votesHey Dean thanks for bringing this Idea to us, we always appreciate our customers thoughts on how we can improve Xero! This Idea has been moved to Gaining Support so others can vote and comment on this. We also wanted to let you know that there is a work around for tis idea, you can create a draft quote with all the relevant details and use that as a base to 'copy to' to reduce the time spent filling out the same details. Don't forget to let you friends and colleagues know they can vote on this idea now 🙂.

Xero Accounting app - Quotes should have the share option
Like in xero mobile app in Invoice we Have option to share Invoice via other apps by getting its Link (Even we can send that link to clients with SMS)
Quote should have similar share option in app.

Quotes - Edit inventory item from within a quote
I would like the ability to edit inventory item costs directly from the quote page, similar to the option available on the invoice page. I don't mean the price on the quote itself, I mean the cost in the inventory. This would save me a lot of time.

Invoices - Add Delivery due date
Add a field for the date the customer requires delivery. I currently use the expiry date, but if I mark the quote as accepted this date disappears.
This date is crucial for forecasting.

Xero Accounting App - ability to delete quotes
Make all features available on phone app that are available on pc / laptops.
There’s various basic functions that cannot be done on the Xero app designed for phones. Many small business users who are on the road for work want to action expenses and invoices as they go and have the same functionality on their phone as the laptop. Features are currently missing e.g:
- adding a discount to an invoice
- adding a category
- deleting a quote

Quotes - Show as Estimate in addition to Quote
We would like the option to provide an "estimate" for our Customers, rather than a quote. In our industry, we don't know exactly what items will be required, until we have started the job. If we give our Customers a quote, they expect us to honour the price quoted. An estimate gives us more flexibilty with the specific items we need to order and charge for.

While this feature is not possible at the moment, you are able to use an advanced invoice template to show the quote name as Estimate. You can then switch between either one of the branding themes for when you want it to show as an estimate.

Quotes - Ability to assign tracking to multiple lines at once
Ability to apply a tracking category to all items listed on a quote rather than having to manually enter the tracking catergory for each item line.
Eg a tick box that would apply tracking category to all, but you could then still change some of the tracking catetgories if needed at a later date.1 voteAppreciate you sharing your idea in the forums here, Ellie. Understand it's not a bulk assign feature like you're asking here, however you may find setting defaults for Contacts useful in your flows here.
You can set defaults for tracking for purchase and sales transactions within a contacts record that'l automatically be applied to lines of your quote when that contact is selected.
For now we'll get a sense of interest from the wider community in being able to assign tracking to your quotes in bulk from the idea here, and I'll share if there are any plans made.

Quotes - Move quotes to an expired status after expiry date
At the moment, the options for quote status are: Draft, Sent, Declined, Accepted, and Invoiced. A sales quote that was sent but it's now past the date on which it expired still shows as Sent. It hasn't been Declined yet, but nor has it been Accepted, so there are quotes which are 4 years old still sitting in the list of valid quotes (see attached extract from the accounts of one of my clients). Quotes - New Status for quotes on hold
In addition to the existing quote tabs, add an On Hold status. It does not need a separate tab. The quote can stay on the Sent page with a clear visual indicator like a dot, icon, or color tag showing it is on hold. This would cover quotes that are not ready to proceed or are conditionally approved but not fully approved, without marking them as accepted. Although the notes section is quite handy, I believe having some sort of visual impact will increase the users' efficiency. :)

Quote - "Copy to draft quote" to copy ALL details
"Copy to draft quote" to copy ALL details from the invoice.
Currently, when a new quote is created from and invoice using "Copy to draft quote", not all details are copied form the invoice.
For example, the currency is not copied from the invoice but from the customer's default currency (which may be different than the invoice's); I am not aware whether other parts of the invoice are not brought over to the quote.I contacted support who confirmed that this is a feature - it is actually done on purpose.
I think this is in fact a bug and…

At this stage, we’re going to move this idea to Gaining support so we can continue tracking interest and better understand how many customers this impacts and the specific details they expect to be copied across. While we can’t commit to any changes right now, your feedback is valuable and helps inform how we assess possible improvements in this area 🙂

XPM - Integrate Quotes with Xero Sign for e-signatures
Currently Quotes are not able to be sent directly for e-sign acceptance (i.e. clients will need to print physical copy of quote, sign and email back unless they have access to adobe sign). It would be an improvement if quote can be sent to Xero Sign for signing and audit trail. Alternatively, it would also be great if clients can accept/decline from the quote email.

Quotes / Invoices - Select which lines to copy to a new transaction
When your quote involves different vendors, it would be nice to have the option to create POs with a click of a button for all the vendors but because you can't specify a vendor for each item then at least let us select the line items. Also very important, any additional information that was added to the description during the quote / invoice process should be carried over to the PO.

Xero Accounting App - Ability to sort quotes order
In app version, when we click omn Quotes then we see 2 options to choose- numer of quotes sent & number of quotes to invoice.
When we click on number of quotes to invoice then we see all the quotes converted to invoice. But they appear as increasing order means oldest quote on top, we should have option to change the order i.e newest quote on top.3 votesThanks for sending through your idea and highlighting what’s important to you.

As you may be aware, you can currently create invoices for contact groups and these can be sent in bulk from the invoice overview page. However, this functionality is currently not available for quotes.

Quote/Invoicing - Job Workflow
BETTER WORKFLOW FOR QUOTES/DELIVERIES/INVOICING:
If we could get the actual flow for how the paperwork per Job can be produced!1.I always start with a QUOTATION: this doesn't always need to be sent to a customer at all as it could be raised by way of a telephone conversation, etc,et. This is logged as a Job manually in a Workbook.
2.If the customer agrees and some do use PO numbers then when we go to accept/confirm, this is when we need the ability to enter Their PO number or some other confirmation that can be proved, this may take the…9 votesHi team, appreciate the stepped out process of what you're needing here and the gaps that currently exist that you'd like us to fulfil to improve processing jobs for your business with Xero.
Atm, there is no sales order type document that can be the bridge between a Quote and Invoice in Xero. An option would be to add the Customers purchase order number to the reference of the Quote or as an additional note however appreciate this does won't suffice for everyone's workflows.
Being open here we don't have any plans for this in the short term, however will continue to keep a pulse on the support here and share if there are any updates.

Quotes - Ability to change the PDF file name
Have the ability to rename the PDF file attachment so when you update your system to send Estimates you can rename the PDF as they always get sent as quote and this is unable to be changed or you can have the PDF file name anything you like just having the option would be nice

Quotes: Hide line item cost
When we create quotes we do not want the individual cost to be sent to the client as we may increase or decrease price depending on actual needs. Therefore I would like to send a quote with all the products/services itemized but not individual cost just a TOTAL?
