AU Payroll - Update historic tracking when Employee Group is changed

It would be a great addition to be able to allocate employees to a particular employee group and from this run historical employee summary reports by employee.

At present when setting up tracking categories the tracking in employee reports will only track payruns once the employee groups are setup. Any historical payruns are not included. This makes it difficult to compare periods or look at employee group reports for the year to date.

There should be an ability to apply the employee grouping tracking to all or some of the historical payruns.

    So important for my world of live entertainment when certain 'performers' are in one category (by show name) then later in a different show or even overlapping. It was disappointing today to spend an hour working with JAX and a fair bit of repeated misinformation to then find a whole job could not have employees allocated as the payroll had been posted.
    This is made more challenging as in XERO payroll reports there is only the option to select 'ALL' or just one employee.

    I support this idea. This would be beneficial to our clients. I just set up groups for one client and was unable to generate historical reports which is really frustrating as I had to put the data into excel and group them manually.

    You should also be able to edit an employees a group previously allocated to any pay run.

    Ideal when staff are moved between product groups, or mistakes were made when adding to a group originally. There is no way to correct this.

    Yes absolutely, I just set up all the groups and found there was no data and no way to use the historical info we have.
