Hi team, we're pleased to share an update as we're currently developing a new homepage widget to help give you an overview of documents in files and help you take quick actions.
I'll come back to share once this is ready and begins to launch!

Definitely support this. We need a way to immediately see when documents have been uploaded that require actioning.
Perhaps this could be incorporated into the existing Tasks widget, similar to how Xero currently highlights bank transactions requiring reconciliation and overdue invoices. A count of documents awaiting processing, matching, or review would make it much easier to identify outstanding work without having to navigate into the Documents section.
For bookkeeping and accounting practices, this would help ensure uploaded documents are not overlooked and would encourage more consistent use of the Documents feature as part of the daily workflow.

As we integrate the documents, it would be really great if we could have a widget on the home page that allows us to at least see how many documents need to be processed and or matched.

Show Document count in Tasks Widget.
Now that Files has been renamed to Documents and moved to the Accounting tab, an enhancement is alerting the user of how many documents need handling. The ideal place for this would be in the Tasks Widget.

A widget or chatbox where you can leave comments for accountant or business owner?
Ability to strikeoff and clear the comments/tasks. Ability to add attachments like screenshots or even videos will be a great feature for this widget.
This widget can sit on dashboard.
