Xero Projects - Add separate field for Project Number
Is there a way that within Xero Projects, we could have a field for "Project Number" and a seperate field for "Project Name".
Unfortunately we have found that some duplication of project numbers can happen within Xero as the project name and project number are within the same field.

I have seen lots of discussion mentions about this, and the answer that xero projects is designed to be simple and basic. If it is meant for project tracking then surely a project numbering system is a prerequisite.

Projects - More Detail fields required
Ability to assign Project Number, Project Address, Order no and a description/notes field.
The current set up of contact/project name/date and estimate is insufficient

Hi There,
Having job numbers is critical to control operations on projects. Same as you already have for invoice and PO's. Would be great to see those on projects too

Agree with all comments. The ability to sort the project list screen and run reports based on numbers rather than names or contacts would be very helpful.

This would be a great addition. I use project numbers all the time, and it would be great if I could add them in a separate box. It would then make it a lot easer to automate with things like CRM systems such as Zoho.

Yes it would be great if there was automatic project/job numbering in a separate field as well as a field for purchase order numbers.
