    This is very important, especially with each individual line of the invoice needing to be assigned to a project (still waiting for the 'assign/select all' option to be developed. It is very easy for a line to be missed then almost impossible to pick it up afterwards without manually going through the invoice lines.

    Hi everyone, while our team considered solutions in this space with other pieces of work planned there is no current development planned for adding a notes or description field within Projects at this time. 

    For now, as you may be aware you can add notes to the History and notes of the individual transactions within a project, or alternatively on the Contacts record. 

    We're continuing to watch this space and will share if there is any progress.

    This is a very disappointing response as the existing Project information is extremely limited. There needs to be the option for a Project number/reference field and Address at the very least. The single field of 'Project Name' is completely insufficient.

    Hi everyone, we have just released the Leave Requests report in UK Payroll. As mentioned earlier users with the Payroll Admin role will be able to access this report from the Reports Centre. This report lists the details for leave requested, approved and taken, for all employees or can be run for a singular employee. We appreciate while it addresses some needs here it is not the equivalent of the Leave Balances report and we'll keep this idea open and share if there is any work planned toward this specific report. We have also created a new idea to track the interest in a Leave Transactions report and I encourage those interested in this here to also join and support the idea for this.

    This is critical for proper project reporting.
    We manage a construction business and the existing Project Financials report lumps all labour, materials, sub-contract costs, travel costs etc under 'Expenses' which is completely inadequate

    Projects - More Detail fields required

    Ability to assign Project Number, Project Address, Order no and a description/notes field.

    The current set up of contact/project name/date and estimate is insufficient

    Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting the ability to assign files to the project itself. While this isn't something we have planned right now we'll keep tracking the interest through the idea here. 


    To highlight, though not currently available on the Project directly, it's possible to attach files to the individual transactions within a project e.g a Bill, Invoice, Spend money or Expense. i

    Along with this, you may also find it useful to create folders within your Files library where you can collect all files related to a specific project for ease of reference. 

    Understand this isn't the ideal solution, but may help some for now 🙂

    You can drag the line up to where you want it, from the 4 dots on the left hand side. Not ideal maybe but it achieves the desired result.

    Hi everyone, as much as we appreciate the feedback and interest of being able to receive a notification of whether an invoice has successfully sent. The team priority right now is around the body of the invoice within Xero. 

    We want to be transparent in this here and will move the status of the idea back to submitted.

    Have separate Account number fields for Suppliers and Customers.

    Supplier account numbers are issued by the supplier and may not be unique. e.g. our trade account number is RLC001 for more than one of our suppliers. This is something we include on our remittance advice notes in order for the supplier to correctly assign our payments. However, Xero only allows unique account numbers.

    Customer Account numbers are a different thing and should be unique, as they currently are.

    It is a limitation in Xero that we cannot designate a Contact as a Customer or Supplier as the automation is not always correct.

    What is even more frustrating is that when a credit is applied to an invoice which then brings that invoice balance to '£0', that invoice is not shown on the remittance either.
    It is essential that all activity is shown on the remittance correctly.
