Projects - Connect and sync with Xero Me
It would be excellent if employees could add the time used in a project to their timesheet via Xero Me.
They have the assign project/s showing in their timesheet where they can add the hours used on it.
For example:
Monday
Ordinary hours- Idea court project: 4.5h
Ordinary hours- Flower street project: 3hTuesday
Ordinary hours- Idea court project: 7.5hWednesday
Ordinary hours- Flower street project: 5h
Ordinary hours- Cloud avenue project 2.5hAnd so on. Then of there is overtime they could add that as same way then the ordinary hours.

Projects - I would like to see the references for each invoice in the list of quotes and invoices on projects. It is difficult to tack what you have invoiced when you have to open each individual invoice.

When you enter expenses under projects, a date is required. We would like that date to appear on the invoices.

The profitability dashboard in Xero projects should have the option to show amounts inclusive or exclusive of GST for bills and invoices.

Projects - Create Spend Money from a Project expense
When adding a actual expense within a project it should open a spend money transaction in Xero and have the ability to save photo of the receipt as normal spend money. Or alternative within the XERO app be able to select a project when inputing a receipt, the current setup is double handeling because you purchase somthing and you have to enter it in xero then in the project.

Projects - Assign multiple tasks to employees
In the last week the ability to add multiple tasks to new employees has been taken away, you can still add all jobs but without the ability to add all tasks or some as well that feature is now useless.
please can you tell me why this has been removed and bring it back asap. I have staff unable to complete time sheets at the moment.

Projects - quote for a number of visits a year - NOT time specific visits.
In Projects I would like the option to create a quote, track and invoice my client where the charge is per "session" Currently Tasks are either fixed price (which does not allow me to quote for a quantity of the same item over the course fo the project) or they are hourly based and my client does not wish the time spent to be shown on the quote or invoice. Projects - Invoice multiple expenses on the same line
I want to be able to group/merge multiple expenses being on-billed into one line on an invoice, even if they're not a tracked expense.
For example, if a contracting company has billed for a fortnight of the contractor's work, but has separated that into two lines, each dealing with one week, on their bill, then the draft that is created when they e-invoice me will have two lines. Projects: Allocate to projects when bulk importing invoices
The Xero bulk invoice import template makes provision to allow for the population of data into the available tracking categories that would correspond to same inside Xero. However, is it possible to do same with a project? Xero have since confirmed it is not possible to include project allocations when importing invoices.
We have a high frequent need to import bulk lines of data each representing individual invoices, and we wish to use Xero projects, but need to be able to allocate the bulk upload of these invoices to the applicable projects inside Xero.

Projects - Ability to assign expenses to individual tasks
It would be great to have a way of linking expenses on a project to an individual task so your invoices and quotes are much more streamlined and broken down into the tasks (especially when working on larger projects with many tasks and expenses)
Something along the line of:
when entering an estimated expense/expense into the project as well as having all the current tabs, having a another tab to 'assign to task' . When generating a quote/invoice you will then only have the task name and it will have combined the hours and materials listed.21 votes
